Mipha and Link were finishing their check-in at the Great Ton Pu Inn. Urbosa had told them to sit tight and get comfortable a bit while she went to find Groose. A pretty woman name Trina ran the inn and asked them if they would like some dinner, in which Link happily obliged. Mipha was in room 2 right next to Links room 3. Trina cut them a deal due to their being champions that they could stay for up to two weeks for 200 rupees, linens and meals included.
"Hey Mipha, wanna go sit in the dining room and wait for dinner?" Link asked excitedly.
"Of course, darling." Mipha answered, finishing up putting the rest of her belongings in the trunk at the foot of her bed.
A lovely smell had already taken over the dining room.
"Trina seems to be an amazing cook if my nostrils aren't lying to me." Link said. He took a look at the small chalkboard on the wall. "Prime meat and rice bowl. Sounds excellent!"
"Yum!" Mipha exclaimed.
They sat there for a few minutes making small talk about the journey until Link brought something up that caught Mipha's attention.
"Y'know.. when I was a bit younger.. I had hoped to be married at this point and settled down somewhere in a nice little house in the country." Link sighed. "Not in a war that may be the end of the world."
"It won't be the end." Mipha reassured him "We will win, we have to."
Hearing the word married uttered from the lips of her beloved lit a fire in her heart. She knew he was the one for her already but that had just cemented it. As soon as she had a moment to herself she was going to begin making him a suit of Zora armor. A special suit made with her own silver scale, a piece of herself that there was only one of and she could never get back. It was the engagement custom of her people for millenia. She wanted to spend the rest of his life with him and would face the rest of her own long life alone, happy knowing he lived his in happiness.
"Is everything okay Mipha?" Link asked puzzled by the distant look on his lovers face.
"Everything is perfect...I've never been more happy in my life." Mipha said, she was beaming, her cheeks red.
Link wondered what thoughts had made her all of a sudden blush, but couldn't think for long because Trina sat a big fat bowl of prime meat and rice in front of him.
"Oh, this is deeelicious!" Mipha exclaimed shoving a big piece of the well cooked meat in her mouth. "OH! I'm eating like a peasant, manners Mipha!" she blushed again.
"Ehhh, it's okay Mipha.. no court here to impress ...or Muzu." Link shuddered.
Link had already finished his bowl and was watching Mipha finish hers. "She's even adorable while she eats." He thought to himself.
"Do I have food on my face? Oh, Nayru.. where?" Mipha asked, pulling a small mirror from her sash.
"Nah nothing like that.. just... I love you." Link smiled.
"I love you too. That is something even the end of the world can't destroy." Mipha reached for his hand under the table.
As soon as their hands locked they heard the loud sound of the inn door being thrown open in a hurry and a large deep voice calling excitedly. "Knight-Marshal?? KNIGHT-MARSHAL!?"
"I'm over here Groose." Link called, waving him over.
"I can't believe it! You made it! I mean... I CAN believe it, because you are the best.. but.. WOW man. I mean sir.." Groose stumbled over his words excitedly.
"Groose, calm down.. You'll make my lady nervous." Link chuckled.
"OH! Princess Mipha! It's good to meet you finally! Link NEVER stopped talking about you. Mipha this, Mipha that." Groose went on.
