Y/N exited the elevator and made her way to the small conference room at the end of the hall. Unlike her building back in New York, Kavinsky's firm definitely screamed "professional firm".

The chocolate colored furniture and glass desks contrasted nicely with the light marble flooring and the walls were covered with slabs of slightly different colored wood arranged to create a diamond pattern. It was beautiful and definitely something she could appreciate, even if it wasn't necessarily the way she would decorate her own spaces.

She stopped at the closed door and took a deep breath, smoothing out any wrinkles in her black suit before knocking. She heard a couple faint "come ins" and pushed the door open revealing three women and three men standing around a long table. Y/N offered a quiet "hello" and stayed close to the door, inspecting each person subtly.

The first woman furthest from her was dressed in a tight black skirt and a white button up shirt tucked into it. The two-inch black pumps adorned her feet and her black hair fell in curls down her back. Her chocolate skin almost glowed in the afternoon sun that was pouring from a window and her dark red lips formed a relaxed line.

Conversing in hushed tones with her, the second woman was a bit shorter than the first, though her tan legs would make any model jealous.
She was wearing a gorgeous off the shoulder white dress that hugged her body in just the right places, accentuating what Y/N deemed as one of her best features.

A small triangular shaped cutout at the top of the dress had Y/N smiling at the cheekiness of it. She also wore heels, though hers were white and had thin straps that went around her ankles.

The three men were all dressed similarly to Y/N, though instead of her all black attire, they all opted for a more conservative and classic black and white suit. Y/N snickered to herself.

"They look like the WiFi logo", she said to herself as she observed their differing heights.

Lastly, she focused her attention on the last woman in the room. She hadn't yet seen her face, but even from the back Y/N could tell she was beautiful. She stood tall, not physically, but confidently.

There was an aura of power around her, but also a graceful presence.
As the woman conversed with the chocolate goddess and tanned beauty, she turned to look at the latest person to enter the room.

Y/N felt the air leave the room and she was now very aware of the blood rushing in her body. Unlike the others in the room, this woman seemed to acknowledge the new face and had now turned to fully face Y/N.

She made her way towards the silent architect, her right hand already extending itself in a greeting.

Although perhaps surprisingly, Y/N did consider herself to have a romantic bone in her body.
Though very small, she had always appreciated the idea of falling or being in love and felt it was beautiful.

That being said, she was also flippant when it came to the "love symptoms" as she called them. Those cliche feelings that accompanied love at first sight. She could never imagine herself feeling so foolish or experiencing these "symptoms" because she considered herself too hardened. Too rational.

But as she stared into those green eyes, she couldn't help but conclude that, in that moment, there wasn't one ounce of rationale in her body.

A husky voice broke her out of her thoughts, "Hi, I'm Lauren Jauregui, the interior designer for Mr. Kavinsky's new team. You're Y/N, Y/L/N, the famous architect right?"

"Y-yeah I-uh...I'm Y/N, Y/L/N"

Y/N closed her eyes for a moment out of embarrassment. Not only had she stuttered horribly, she had introduced herself RIGHT AFTER the green-eyed beauty had made it quite obvious that she already knew who the architect was.

An adorable giggle broke Y/N out of her embarrassed state.

"Wow, are you always this articulate?"

Y/N lifted an eyebrow, "Did you just quote...a disney movie at me?"

Lauren laughed lightly, "I did, I thought it would help break the ice. Now are you going to shake my hand or..."

Y/N glanced down, realizing that the woman's hand was still outstretched. She blushed and gently took Lauren's hand in her own, shaking it.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Jauregui. I look forward to working with you."

Y/N gave a charming smile before slowly letting go of the woman's hand.

"Likewise."

Lauren tucked a strand of raven colored hair behind her ear as she excused herself and headed back towards the two other women who were now staring at Y/N.

Y/N felt her heart beat faster as the women went back to talking together, now even more hushed than before. She admired the woman's outfit, a simple tight black dress with black heels.

The majority of Lauren's makeup hadn't been heavy, just something to bring out the woman's natural beauty, but she had applied dark red lipstick that made her lips look even more kissable. Her black hair was sleek and fell in loose curls down her back, long pieces framing her face.

Just as she finished admiring Lauren, Y/N heard the door open and Kavinsky walked into the room greeting everyone exuberantly. She took another look at the raven-haired woman's figure before taking a seat, ready for the meeting to begin.
