Peter's POV

I know coming to Gracee's door wasn't the smartest idea because she is definitely going to ask questions about why I left the opera house, but that doesn't stop me. There is nothing that could keep me away from her when I'm worried about her. If she got hurt because of me I would never forgive myself.

I knock on her door, regretting this decision when I see the look on her face.

"Hey." She doesn't look happy to see me.

"Hey."

"Where were you?"

"Um, I got lost."

"I was worried about you."

"Oh." I smile.

"Good thing you're okay."

"Yeah."

"So much for Paris, right?"

"Would've been fun."

"Yeah." I can tell by the look on her face she wants to tell me something but decides against it. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight. I love-"

She closes the door and I close my eyes, angry at myself. I seriously consider deactivating my web shooters before I jump off of a bridge and then decide against it. I step closer to the door to knock just as she opens it again.

"Oh-" She stops herself from running into me and backs up in surprise.

"Hey." I feel my face turn red and reconsider jumping off of a bridge.

"Hey."

"Uh- Look, um... I'm not ready for this trip to be over yet, and I kind of want to do something fun that's not on the itinerary or planned or with Mr. Harrington."

"Yes." She immediately answers.

"Yes, like you wanna go?"

"Yes."

"Awesome. I'll see you outside in 10 minutes."

"Meet me outside in five minutes."

"Five is good. Okay."

"Okay, bye."

"Bye."

She shuts her door again and I quite literally skip away. Five minutes later, I've changed into a T- shirt and jacket and am waiting in the lobby. I'm watching the news on the TV about the fight with the fire elemental when the elevator dings. I look over to see Gracee exiting it and walking towards me. She is still in her dress but is wearing a jean jacket over it with her backpack on her back.

"Hey." I smile.

"Hey." She seems nervous.

"So, where do you wanna go?"

"Doesn't matter to me."

"Awesome."

"Okay."
