When Lisa saw her calmly walking over, his expression froze. His dark eyes gradually filled with guilt and helplessness.
"Jennie?" He frowned.
"I used to work in a small clinic near the university for more than a year. Occasionally, there would be girls who would cut their wrists and commit suicide due to various setbacks. It's pretty easy for me to stop the bleeding and bandage them." Jennie remained calm, there's no slightest hint of pain in her eyes.
On the contrary, she smiled magnanimously and naturally stood by her husband and the Manoban Family. With her status as Lisa's wife, she decided to help Somi.
She didn't know if every member of the Manoban Family knew about Lisa's past relationship with Somi, but right now, she didn't have time to care about those various gazes on her.
When Lisa's burning gaze was fixed on her, she lowered her eyes, avoiding his gaze, and watched Somi's slightly pale face.
"Miss Jeon, if you believe me, let's go upstairs. I will try to help you stop the bleeding."
Somi glanced at her without fear. However, when she saw the peaceful smile in Jennie's eyes, she was slightly surprised. However, in a split-second, she asked, "Can Miss Kim really stop this bleeding?"
"This is not an ordinary minor injury. Arterial hemorrhage is nothing compared to the others. Miss Kim, stop boasting!" Senior Jeon suddenly said coldly.
Jennie turned around and looked at the rebuke in Senior Jeon's eyes. She smiled and said, "What if I promised you that if I could not stop the bleeding, and if something really happened to her, you can use my life to compensate her."
With that, Jennie immediately grabbed Somi's arm. She saw Senior Jeon staring at her face from a distance, and at the same time, she looked up at Lisa, who was still holding onto Somi's wrist. His eyes were on her.
"Leave her to me." Facing Lisa's cold and serious black eyes, she smiled.
He slowly let go of Somi's hand. Jennie used a little of her strength to help Somi got up, and at that moment, her arm was suddenly gripped tightly by the familiar and warm palm.
Jennie lowered her head and her gaze following the thick, warm hand and then met with Lisa's eyes, which seemed to contain thousands of emotions.
"Jennie." He called out to her in a faint voice. Seeing her calm face, he said nothing more but simply said softly, "Thank you for your help."
Jennie smiled faintly and pulled her arm out of his grasp without leaving a trace. After a moment, she stopped smiling and turned around, supporting Somi as they walked towards the stairs.
Somi walked all the way up the stairs with Jennie supporting her. She looked at the stairs from time to time as well at Jennie's expressionless face.
When they reached the second floor, Jennie brought her into the guest room shown by the Manoban Family servant.
As they inside the room, Somi opened her mouth and said, "Miss Kim, your thoughts are really deep. Even I am surprised by your calmness."
Jennie helped her to sit down, her gaze sweeping over her pale face. But the promise in her bright eyes was still as obvious as ever. She didn't say anything. She knew that if she didn't stop the bleeding now, the consequences would be even greater.
Jennie's hand quickly took the clean towel provided by the Manoban Family servants and covered the wound on Somi's wrist. After wiping off her blood, she quickly disinfected the wound before more blood gushed out, then replaced it with a clean sterile.
