When Lisa put down the fruit plate, he looked at her smiling face and sat beside her. He hugged her and gently patted her shoulder, "If not for the indifference shown by the Kim Family of Busan, how could there be such a strong Jennie? Life cannot be traced back, you have to look forward."

Jennie nodded in his arms. There were many things she had unknowingly forgotten. Just like when she saw Kim Family of Busan on her wedding day, even if she did not welcome them, her emotions were not at all affected by their appearance.

It was just that her resentment towards JooE was too deep, but she knew that it wasn't that she didn't want to return the favor, she just needed to wait and watch the outcomes.

Suddenly thinking of something, Jennie could not help but ask, "Is Kai's mother still alive? Before my mother killed herself, my mother had brought Kai home from an orphanage. She said she was afraid that I would be bored and lonely, so she adopted a brother for me."

"In fact, Kai was indeed the only support I had in the previous years. If it wasn't for him, I might not have lived past those seven years."

Thinking about that era twenty years ago, when it was really too popular to engage in extramarital affairs, Jennie doubted whether Kai's mother and her mother knew each other. Otherwise, how can her mother bring Kai back?

Coincidentally? Impossible.

A staff member suddenly knocked on the door. Lisa stood up and went to open the door. The staff slowly pushed the food trolley into the room. The smell of delicious food permeated the room.

Jennie was indeed starving. She had initially thought that eating fruits would fill her stomach, but she realized that the more she ate, the hungrier she became. When she saw the food, her eyes lit up.

She was about to get up when Lisa quickly came over to hug her, preventing her from walking and made the swelling worse.

When Jennie started to eat and watched Lisa slowly drink the tea, she couldn't help but ask again. "You didn't answer my question just now. Is Kai's mother still alive?"

Lisa's hand that was holding the teacup paused as he looked at her. "In this world?"

"She's still alive? Then why didn't she find Kai? She had left her son for more than twenty years. Was there such a mother? If she doesn't want the baby, then why did she give birth?" Jennie was somewhat angry.

After taking a sip of his tea, Lisa said lightly, "She has lost her mind. A few months after giving birth, she was sent to the United States to recuperate."

Jennie's hand that was holding the spoon immediately stopped. She looked at Lisa in shock.

"Lost her mind?" She could not believe it.

Lisa seemed to have known about this for a long time. He was not at all surprised. He helped her fill a bowl of soup and then put it in front of her while saying indifferently, "From a medical standpoint, it is hysteria. Intermittent mental disorder."

Jennie lost her appetite to eat. She put down the spoon, but Lisa shot her a look. She then took the spoon back, but her heart felt as if a large hole had penetrated it.

Kai had never seen or had met with his mother since he was born. It would've been fine if they were separated by heaven. Although he felt remorse, he could only accept his fate. However, his mother was still alive, but ... She was crazy.

Jennie couldn't help but ask again. "Does Kai know?"

Lisa looked at her and said, "Maybe."

"Maybe? What do you mean?" Jennie could feel that, regardless of whether it was the Manoban Family, the Kim Family of Busan, or something else, there seemed to be a large net in the middle that was separated by more than twenty years. It seemed like there was a link between the two of them, but it also seemed to have no connection.
