I was stunned and appalled that he had written to my lover. Just a simple message from him made me want to put myself in all my states. Normally I would have let it sink, but this was downright impossible. My heart was pounding.
Shalnark... What else does he want from him ? Wasn't my earlier blow enough to make him understand that he shouldn't approach Phinks ?
I was shaking more and more. It all made no sense. Thanks to my sickly jealousy.
But... What am I saying ? Of course he has the right to approach him, he's been his best friend for years... And it's supposed to be mine too... He's in the Phantom Troupe with us, that's logical that he speaks to him regularly... But I'm still very angry against him after what he did to us !
"A-Anyway, I'm going to look at what he said to him..."
I didn't know what to do to relax knowing that Phinks could come back at any time. I had no time to hesitate anyway. So I swallowed my saliva and immediately opened the message he had received.
Shal at 01:19 [I'm sorry for what happened... Can we discuss this when you get back ?]
"..."
I remained unmoved for several seconds while re-reading his text message over and over.
He apologizes, that's good... Yep, that's cool of him and totally normal in fact. There's nothing suspicious about that text. I didn't even check my phone, maybe he wrote to me too. But...
"I am in love with Phinks too."
I can't stop thinking about it...! Why did he tell me that ?! Is it true at least ? He has no interest in lying about such a thing, it's not as if he was a kid who wanted to be interesting by pretending to have feelings to attract attention... No... I am convinced that he really loves him ! And maybe, that's what he's going to discuss with him !
