Chapter 1

"Please stop..."

Stumbling into the dingy dorms, the two boys dragged in the bloody red head somewhat panicking and somewhat trying to keep the boy awake.
"Kang Taehyun don't you dare fall asleep after what you did back there. No! Don't you dare sleep, BOY I'M WARNING YOU!" The black haired lightly smacking the younger's head continuously to keep him from losing consciousness.
"Okay okay okay this is messed up ugh okay come on Taehyun a few more minutes please... Gyu he is slipping! Hold onto him!"
"I - sorry! I got him.. why did he have to come in between us?! The guy could've just got us but no! He just had to protect us! Where the hell is Yeonjun hyung?!"
"What's all this commotion about?!" The yellow haired walked out while putting on a somewhat clean t-shirt and wet hair. Guess he just cleaned up after the monsters had tortured him all day.. too bad he was just gonna get dirty again.
"Hyung.. he got hit, it was supposed to be for us and I.. we.. we failed to protect him he just took the hit for us and now his already red hair is turning scarlet due to the blood loss help him please!"
"What?! Okay calm down, don't worry, he will be fine, just breathe for me, there you go Soobin. Now help me bring him down and lay him down. There you go.." The deep blue haired followed the oldest's instructions and did as asked trying not to panick anymore.
"Okay Gyu, is he still conscious?"
"Barely.." Beomgyu gasped out in an almost inaudible whisper. Yeonjun nodded and looked towards Taehyun.
"Hey buddy? I need you stay awake for me, this is gonna sting a little but I need you to bare with me okay?"
"Yeah I gotcha h-hyung."
"Shh don't talk so much, save your energy dear."
Yeonjun then signalled Soobin to calm a frantic Beomgyu down because they knew they had more coming and they couldn't afford three of them down. Soobin understood and dragged Beomgyu away to a corner near their sleeping arrangements, seating him and himself down trying to distract him. While Yeonjun asked Kai to get him a wet cloth for Taehyun. Which he did and then left Yeonjun to treat Tae while he went over to see to the wounds and injuries of the other two. Kai found no injuries, and therefore just hugged them both trying to keep them calm.
"Do you wanna talk about what happened back there? Or just stay like this?"
The black haired nuzzled closer to the youngest making him sigh and stroke his back.
"Come on hyung, in for 4, hold for 7, and out for 8, just like we practiced. Now hold my hands, and stop picking the skin near your nails, there you go." Kai said as he slowly took the boy's hands in his and coached him through his anxiety attack before it got worse.
Soobin however was standing near the doors of the dorms keeping watch and making sure that if those monsters came by, atleast Taehyun would be safe from further harm. While all this went on, Beomgyu was much more calm and sitting with Kai.
"Okay, Taehyun is much more stable now, he should be fine in a few hours. The thing is we need to make sure he actually gets those few hours to heal" The blonde haired boy stood up and placed Taehyun on one of their beds and somewhat shielding him from any harm by building a... Pillow fort? Well atleast he tried.
"Tae you frickin idiot you have any idea how worried we were?! Never ever do that again you dumbass!" Gyu yelled as he hugged Tae lightly avoiding the bruises.
"Heh no promises hyung~" Tae answered back in a barely audible whisper but at the same time he chuckled. Truly one of a kind.
However and unfortunately the wholesome moment didn't last long.
The doors to the dingy room burst open letting in some people- scratch that, monsters in. They were holding chains and different gruesome things. Seeing this, Yeonjun and Kai were ushered away by the other boys as they hid the three of them along with Taehyun the best they could. Soobin and Beomgyu slowly backed up against the wall right next to their door as they had been trained by the people at the facility because if they did not do so, let's just say they really didn't want to meet those consequences.
The guards walked in and went straight towards the boys who had their hands in the air. They chained the boys and dragged them out to one of the punishment rooms.
"This is gonna be a long night... Yeonjun hyung, let's help Tae get the treatment he needs... The other two will need our attention tonight.."
"This is such a nightmare... Everyday I wake up hoping, just hoping that we were all still with our tribes happily in peace... And then I wake up in this living nightmare... Why must all of us suffer? Just because we are different?"
"Yeonjun Hyung... We can't help it.. we just have to hang in there I guess..."
The boys were cut of by the agonizing screams of their brothers. Yes, brothers, even though they were never blood related, but their bond is closer than any brother could ever hope for.
They walked over to a now passed out Taehyun. He looked like an angel when he slept... How peaceful. If only their life was this peaceful too.

Meanwhile, the monsters who had dragged Soobin and Beomgyu to a punishment room, made Soobin kneel down while chaining him to the ground leaving him motionless as he could only watch helplessly as they dragged his dongsaeng in front of him slowly placing him on a king sized iron chair and cuffing him to the arms of it. They got a thumbscrew and Beomgyu's eyes filled with the last memories of that being used on him, infact his hands had still not healed from the last time it was used on him. But anyways they didn't care, the used it on him anyways. Beomgyu let out screams of pain and Soobin hung his head low not able to bare the sight of him in pain. But that wasn't the way the monsters wanted it, they didn't immobilise him for nothing now, did they?
"Hey! Scales! Look up! Look at him! Look at him right there. He is right infront of you and can you not help him?! What kind of a person are you?!" The people around him grabbed his head and forced him to look up at Gyu. They let out hysterical laughs as he watched the tear stained, and watched his face scrunch up in pain as they started passing electric currents through the chair to him. They continued to make Soobin watch  as they hurt Beomgyu. But soon enough they were done causing physical pain to Gyu and emotional torture to Soobin. Now they decided to switch it up. Untying Beomgyu, they now put him down in the same position Soobin had been in for so long while they laid Soobin down and cuffed his limbs in a manner that they were no where near his body leaving him completely unguarded and for the people around them to use.
Leaving his hyung on full display made Beomgyu feel so useless and scared. What would they do to him? Could it be worse than last time? He was snapped out of it when they hit him with the back of a knife.
"Airhead! Pay attention and watch the show! You should enjoy thoroughly~" a woman spoke this time.
She dragged herself up to Soobin and started dragging the knife down Soobin's face to his chest trailing it down his torso as he shivered from the cold feeling of the tip of the knife. She stopped near his navel and moved to the side of his waist and slowly applied pressure making beads of blood appear on his skin. She removed the knife from that spot and left Soobin's body untouched for a moment.
"You are such a freak." Saying that she plunged the knife in his side leaving it there as he cried in pain from the sudden feeling.
"Oh you think I'm done sweetheart? You bloody, scaly, freak!" She screamed as she turned the knife which was already plunged deep in him. The boy cried in pain and let out agonizing shrieks.
By the time she was done, the boy was covered in blood and deep wounds that wouldn't stop bleeding and the other boy sat there speechless with tears flowing down his horror filled face..
A few guards dragged them back to their dorms and literally threw them in from the entrance. Slamming the doors on their way out.
Beomgyu somewhat managed to drag himself to Soobin trying to stop the bleeding from his wounds but failing miserably. Yeonjun and Kai were already on their way after fixing Taehyun up as they both gasped and tears flowed down their countenances at the horrendous sight. As Kai slowly pulled Beomgyu up and guided him towards their bathroom, Yeonjun steadied himself and closed Soobin's wounds. After stopping the bleeding he also carried a barely conscious Soobin to the bathroom and kneeled down. Slowly scrubbing his back and cleaning the blood that was on the tallest. He looked over at Kai and saw him taking care of an extremely tired and Beomgyu. He nodded and asked Kai to clean Soobin for him while he went over to Beomgyu slowly taking his tortured hands in his own and starting to heal them up once again.
As the blood and dirt washed of them, they took them back to their sleeping quarters laying them down and making sure both of them fall asleep and then going to bed themselves to get the few hours of sleep they could get that night.
However, Yeonjun couldn't sleep. He walked over to the centre of the room and stared up at the dome shaped ceiling from where they could see the starry night sky. He stared up with sparkling eyes. And just stayed there.
"Yeonjun Hyung?" A voice softly asked. Yeonjun made no movements and stayed with his back towards the sleeping boys.
"Hyung?" The boy asked again. The boy slowly crawled out of bed and softly approached the yellow haired boy. He slightly touched his shoulder which made Yeonjun turn around giving the red haired a small smile.
But something was definitely different. Taehyun couldn't tell what exactly was different, but he for sure knew and felt the difference..
"Yeonjun...?"
Yeonjun smiled again. And softly answered.
"Hello Taehyun. I'm Daniel."
