I can't keep lying

ASHLEY POV

"Get up! Come on! Wake up!!" I heard someone yelling at me. I opened my eyes and it was Jake.

"I love you Jake, but really!! What time is it?" I said closing my eyes

"I love you too and its 10:30 AM"

"Uhhhh!"

"Get up, or I will tickle you" He said

I ignored him and closed my eyes. After a few seconds he left and then came back. I just want to sleep, I don't want to do anything. Oh, I'm dating Jake now!! He asked me out last night. On a serious note, I'm so glad he did. I really can't believe I told him I liked him. Before he started dating Addison, he was dating a girl name Dom. She was really nice and really pretty. We were really good friends, and one day she found out I liked him. She left him because of me. He was really heart broken, he still doesn't know why she left him. I think its time to come clear, even if it means he might break up with me.

"Get up!" Jake said tickling me

"Okay! I'm up!" I said

I looked at him and hugged him. I know I'm making a big mistake in telling him but, I feel like it's the right thing to tell him. I know he really loved Dom but I just couldn't help but keeping it a secret from her. Dom was my best friend and she was like my sister to me.

"Okay, I have to tell you something" I said going to the back of the bus

"Okay, what it is"

"It's about Dom. I know why she left"

"Why did she leave?!" He said getting up

"Uhm because of me. I couldn't keep my secret form her so I told her I like you and she didn't seem mad when we were talking, but then the next day she texted me saying to take care of you and to make you happy. She told me to be there for you because she knew you weren't going to take it easy."

"Why would you do that!? Ashley you knew I loved her. Why would you tell her, you couldn't keep it to yourself?!"

"Noo!!  I loved you a lot and I still do! I couldn't keep this kind of a secret from my best friend. I was basically betraying her. I liked her boyfriend and it didn't feel right but I couldn't help it!"

"You should have still kept it to yourself"

"So your telling me if you were to like Susana you wouldn't tell Susana or even your own brother!?"

"No I wouldn't. I did like her when they started dating but I'm over it. I found someone to make me happy and to make me smile. That was Dom. Until you came around and opened your mouth!"

"I can't do this anymore. You should be thankful that I told you why  she left, I should had left you suffering that day she left you. Your such an inconsiderate baster!"
