three weeks later
after a few days, the hate comments didn't really get to me anymore. there weren't that many and i knew it was people that were just jealous. as long as riley wasn't getting hate, it didn't really bother me.
which, they absolutely weren't. the clique loved them. a lot of people posted about how the greatest award as a 'clikkie' had to be finding out your dad was tyler joseph.
being on tour was probably the greatest thing ever. we got to see a lot of places and i was still able to give riley online school work and work on my book in our spare time.
i was getting even closer with tyler. it was like we never separated for 15 years. i finally felt like i had gotten my best friend back. although, we did flirt a little bit, i knew we weren't going to get back together. even if he felt the same as i did, i still didn't know if that was too much for riley.
a few weeks passed and we were in chicago. i knew our hometown was literally a city, but i still loved seeing other cities, regardless.
"i have an idea." riley said. we were at the house of blues, getting ready for the nights show.
"what's up?" tyler asked them.
"i want pit tonight." they stated. tyler looked at them as if they had five heads.
"are you sure? people are most likely going to bother you and ask you tons of questions." he reminded them. they just shrugged.
"and when has publicity been too much for me, dad? i'm okay with all this. i just wanna hold you for trees, jeez."
tyler smiled and shook his head. he then looked at me.
"how do you feel about this, y/n?" he asked me. i thought for a second. i knew riley really wanted pit and i didn't want to take that from them. i felt like we could handle it out there, even if there were some fans that would be excited.
"i think it would be okay. but we could take some extra security out with us. just to be safe." i decided. tyler nodded.
"absolutely, i agree. i'll definitely send security out with you guys." he agreed. riley smiled a smile brighter than the sun.
"so we can go?!" they asked. tyler and i looked at each other and nodded. riley let out a little squeal.
"yay!" they cheered. tyler and i laughed together.
"why don't you go see if debby wants pit with us? we still have a few more hours until the show." i told them. they nodded and disappeared.
"wow, they're enthusiastic about pit." tyler chuckled. i nodded.
"yeah i feel like we forget that before they knew about you being their dad, they were still a hardcore clikkie." i replied. he let out a small laugh.
"guess they take after you. you were the og tyler joseph fan back in the day."
i just nudged tyler and shook my head. he only laughed harder.
"i will live that label down."
"not likely, but that's okay. i guess you could say i was the og y/n l/n fan back in the day, too. well, and now."
"aw, i have a fan?" i joked. tyler shrugged.
"always have been." he simply said. i just playfully rolled my eyes.
"come on, joseph. we have to get back to setting up for the show."
a few hours later
