[Chapter C/W: Pregnancy, angst, strong language]

It took all of Kohaku's will power to calm herself down from the panic attack she was having. She was pregnant. Pregnant with Tengen's child. Could this possibly be any worse?
She sat back down in bed with all sorts of thoughts running in her head. How would she afford this? Would she lose her job now that she's pregnant? How would she tell Tengen?

Oh god she has to tell Tengen.

She has to tell him. She knows that no matter what, Tengen is a great father and has every right to know. But how would he react? She was terrified even thinking about talk to him about this. What does she say? How does she tell him. Will he even agree to see her after everything?

Kohaku didn't sleep much that night and the next day, didn't leave her apartment. She was still so overwhelmed by this shocking discovery.
Monday rolled around and as much as Kohaku hated to, she had to go to the doctor to confirm that this is indeed what is happening. And it was.
She was 8 weeks pregnant.

Kohaku didn't know who to tell or who to turn to. She knew she had to tell Tengen but she didn't know how or when? Was it too early to tell him? She decided it was best to tell her friends first and see how that goes, then go from there.

Kohaku invited her friends over to her apartment to talk to them.

"So, what's the urgent thing you need to tell us?" Tanjiro asks.

"Well... it's not exactly that easy to just come out and say..." Kohaku starts off.

"Is it something bad?" Nezuko asks.

"Well... it's not really good, but also not bad?" She says.

A moment of silence passes before Inosuke breaks it with a crash.

"Spit it out already then!" He yells.

"I'm pregnant! You happy?" She yells back.

The room was so quiet you could hear a pen drop.

"Does that mean what I think it means?" Inosuke says.

"You idiot, she's having a baby!" Zenitsu says.

"Why would you wanna do that!?" Inosuke says.

"I didn't choose this ok!" Kohaku defends.

"Ok you guys calm down. Kohaku... What's exactly going on here?" Tanjiro asks.

"Just what I said, on Saturday I took a pregnancy test, and it came back positive, so today I went to the doctors to confirm it and it turns out I'm 8 week pregnant. I'm assuming you can guess who the father is." She says looking down.

"Are you going to tell him?" Nezuko asks.

"I have to. He deserves to know." She says.

"So is that what you'll do next?" Tanjiro asks.

"Yeah, but I' terrified. We haven't talked since that night and neither of us have made any attempt to contact the other. It will be awkward to say the least." She says.

"Well, on the bright side, you know he's a good father and I'm sure no matter what he will support you." Nezuko says.

"Your probably right about that." Kohaku says.

"And of course, we're here for you too." Tanjiro says with a smile.

"Yeah, what they said, this kid better at least be cool though." Inosuke says.

Kohaku chuckles. She hadn't even given it much thought yet. That there was a tiny life growing inside her and in 7 short months, she'd have a newborn. It was terrifying and exciting. Kohaku knew she always wanted children but didn't think this is how it would play out by a long shot.
