Johnathan Hale stood in a bulletproof vest on top of his shirt and tie. His greasy and dirty hair fell from its normal well kept style. Magazines rested on his plate carrier, two pistols strapped to his legs. And in his arms he held a kitted out M4 Carbine, and a shotgun strapped to his back. His boots were dirty from the elements, his demeanor hardened from the last 12 hours since Doppelganger's raid. John Hale kicked in a door, marching inside a room, flanked by SWAT and police officers. The criminals occupying this space began to shoot at the law enforcement, but were shot right back at. Hale shot a man in the neck, moving his rifle barrel to another, shooting two into his chest. He kept shooting, marching forward with his squad behind him.
Hale kept shooting until his rifle was empty, so he dropped it, his sling catching it. He pulled his pistols from his drop leg holsters and used them to quickly shoot another three guys, each of them falling with a few hollow points in their body. Hale stood tall as the gunfire ceased, putting his pistols away.
In another part of the city, Quentin Beck was fighting Doppelganger's men, staving them off from taking down an apartment building a group of people took refuge in. He punched one guy into another, blasted another with his green magic, taking them out. Cindy was also helping. She was a very agile fighter, using flips to maneuver and distract. She kicked her enemies, making up for her lack of arm strength compared to the rest of their team. "Hey guys, I have a question?" Cindy asked. "What?"
Y/n was punching criminals of his own, fighting with his strength. "What do we call ourselves? I mean, we're a team. Teams need names." Cindy said. "Spider-Army?" Quentin questioned. "No, you're not a spider person." Cindy protested. "What about... The Order?" Y/n asked, standing over the knocked out thugs. "The Order, huh, I like it." Quentin agreed. "Cindy?" "It's perfect."
Boots hit the ground, making a small crater beneath them. Y/n pulled off his mask. He narrowed his eyes, his brow furrowing and a fire raged in his chest. "Doppelganger!" Y/n yelled, seeing the man in front of him. "Hello, Y/n." "You caused all of this. Why? Why make us suffer, why not end it here and now." "I can't just yet. You still need to lose Gwen. And until then, I'm gonna let the city destroy itself. And then, well... I'll make the book of Genesis look like a children's story." "I never met your Gwen, but I'm sure she wouldn't want this. Let me guess, in her last moments, she told you to move on. Find another love, finally be happy?" Y/n questioned. "My Gwen didn't get her last words."

Doppelganger POV
The next hour struck, and Gwen fell. My heart dropped with her. Gwen gasped for air, her hand falling to her side as she floated for the second before gravity realized it needed to drag her down. I hoped it didn't. All the gears broke out and fell. Luke's head jerked back at a disgusting angle, dragging his body into the wall, and more steel beams fell unto him.
I recovered, looking over to see my heart falling so fast. It's blonde hair, a golden halo. And the blue eyes flooded with fear. I jumped at her, time slowing down as my senses guided me. My fiance would not die. I would not let that happen. This was my responsibility.
Why wasn't she fighting? She wasn't moving, as if she knew she was already dead, and that she thought I couldn't save her. No, I had to.
Metal gears cascaded around her, falling too. I dived through them, shooting my hand forward, a web flying towards her. The web maneuvered through the gears, and time resumed at its normal speed. Gwen shut her eyes, accepting fate. Just as my web caught her, and my hand caught on a crossbar. I heard the noise of my soul hitting the concrete, metal clanging to a stop around her.
I tied her to the bar, jumping down. I took off my mask, and took Gwen into my arms, drawing a shaky breath as I unhooked her from the web. I fell to my knees, as she laid across them. "Hey..." I asked, waiting for an answer. "Gwen? ...Hey?" The realization set in, but I didn't believe it.
