His face always looks so awfully serious that you truly start to wonder whether or not the man is actually happy. You will hardly see him laugh at something or joke around. The king is always formal, even towards his elder sister. He is calm and reserved and does not easily lose his temper. That does not mean he cannot get mad though, he can control his temper, but he can get angry when he finds it to be justified. He truly hates having to wait for too long. It makes him worried he will get behind on his tight schedule. That is one of the few things that actually anger him though, so aside from that there is not much to worry. The thing with that is, if Nicolas actually gets mad, it's quite a scene. He is usually so calm and understanding, though you cannot count on his forgiveness and mercy if you have managed to anger his royal majesty. He likes for things to be organised and structured around the palace, so often gives servants plenty of tasks to assure everything is perfect. He will not hesitate to correct even the smallest mistakes and even though he might appear very calm, he will not let things go unpunished. There is more to him than the serious king he appears to be though. His majesty also has a soft side, which he rarely shows. As a young prince he has always been quite a serious boy, always busy with his studies. When he was finished though, he'd always spend some time with his family. It is something he misses so much. The people around him cheer him up, which is why he hates to be alone. Being on his own saddens him, as it reminds him of his loss. He does not show this 'weakness' though and always acts with full confidence. He does not accept any disrespect, though can be forgiving to people who are genuinely apologetic. He is a good king who does care for his people, even if he acts pretty much entitled. If you get to know him, you will see his more vulnerable side. You will get to know about his nightmares and how he always wakes up at night, covered in sweat and in a complete panic. The next morning though, everyone will see their professional king. If you first meet him, he might appear a little uninterested in you, but if you get to know him and he grows to care for you, he will make sure you are comfortable at all times.
