Chapter 7

Chapter 7:

I feel soft tender lips pressing gently on mine. A magical force passed through me as I open my eyes and return her kiss. Like a magical bolt of lightning shoots into us and lifts us into the air, transforming into a blue and red vortex of water and magic. We both become completely enclosed, with only a rainbow forming above us. Still kissing each other, a sharp pain forms between my shoulders just as it does on my head. As our lips part, I feel the wind coming at us from all sides. The speed of the vortex is getting faster and faster as all of a sudden the pain jerkily stops. And the vortex disappeared as if it had never been.
Something has changed in and about me. I move my hands to the places that hurt me until just now. As I move my hands over my hair, I notice 2 things. My hair is no longer black and straight but now I have long blond curls with many blue strands and there are horns on my head again like Carol. I continue to look around and notice 2 huge wings on my back, which are even more magnificent than the ones from my dream of Carol and the woman who is apparently my mother. The base of the wings are as black as the night, then dark blue like the starry sky until colors changed down so that they are light blue like Carol's eyes. Smiling we look at each other while our foreheads lean against each other and her hands hug my waist.  As our foreheads touch, a red butterfly appears on my blue wing and a blue butterfly appears on her red wing. The butterflies imprint themselves on our wings and what was once a living thing now looks like a tattoo on our wings. Questioningly, I look at Carol as she gently strokes my cheek. "Are you ready? It's time for your true destiny to be fulfilled. You are not only death and darkness but life and light. You are the one who can save everything, who can change what has happened. The one who can fulfill destiny. For your power and your true beauty can both subdue all worlds and bring about justice. You must decide your path, our lives are bound forever. You are not the evil Odin made you out to be. You are stronger than ever before. Your mother Maleficent would be so proud of what her little caterpillar has become. Let's take you to your real home. Then I'll tell you the whole story my Angel flung out of space," she said in a serious voice. She grabs my hands and kisses me full of love on the lips and a gigantic portal opens next to us. Just as I was about to fly through the portal with Carol's help, something fell past us in a flash. Carol's eyes widened because she knew exactly what it was. "Come on. Help me," she said, flying as fast as she could toward the creature. Quickly I did the same. A bit awkwardly I almost flew into the little creature, instead I caught it. The little creature opened her eyes and pulled her little wings away from her face.
"Oh my god Lilith. Have all the good forest spirits abandoned you. You could have died." said Carol with tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry mom." said the creature, which turned out to be a fairy, and hugged Carol her tightly. Carol grabbed my hand and put Lilith on her wings. Together we flew through the portal.
But the war hasn't even really started yet.
