The Hand That Rocks The Tad - Part Four

Bill was happily sitting on the couch now that Kryptos was gone. He doesnt have to see her with his partner anymore and that's everything that matters. Still satisfied with his victory he sunk deeper in his seat closing his eyes and letting Shooting Star continue her excited talk about what she had witnessed in the town together with her brother today.

And then they heard a knock.

The yellow demon groaned now that the vibe was ruined. Without anyone opening the door Tad and Kryptos entered the living room holding hands.

Mabel showed signs of confusion but didn't question anything knowing her demon had an explanation. Hopefully.

"You have exactly 1 minute to explain me what in the name of Axolotl is going on", said Bill shooting death glares towards the female demon. "And you better have valid points."

"Bill, listen-"

"I am. I wanna know why the hell you brought her along."

"Only because Bo is living in the same house as her doesn't mean she is working with him. Right?", the last question was meant towards Kryptos who nodded in agreement.

"Alright. So, to be clear: the demon of logic says a person who is living in the same house as the enemy and sees said enemy every day is innocent because he doesn't think she is. Do you even hear yourself?"

"Do you have evidence she did something?"

"Do you have evidence she didn't?", Bill shot back sharply. "You cannot just trust her like that!"

"Relax boys I'm pretty sure you two can hug this out!", Mabel tried to prevent the two demons from fighting like they used to do lately but her attempt was not heard through the loud arguing.

"It's nothing YOU should care for!!"

"Well I'm pretty sure I should because you are my partner and Bo is our enemy!!"

"BUT SHE ISN'T!"

"HOW CAN YOU BE SO SURE?!!?"

"Enough!"

I voice cut both of them off and finally brought peace into the room unlike the brunette's failed attempt. Pi was leaning on the staircase watching all of them with piercing eyes.

"You can't even get some rest in this house anymore!"

"Sorry Aunt Pi", the partners said in unison with their heads sunken.

"Listen, Tad, if you want to get your partner's attention: Congratulations! Because now he can't even think of anything else!"

"I'M NOT-"

"Pssssstt! We know it's true! And now you, you yellow idiot of a demon, you were crying and complaining three days. Now get your shit together and ask him out because if you don't he might end up with children and you didn't even had a chance to fuck him!"

"I - what?"

"And now deal with this like men and not children!", with that she went back up and closed the door loudly.

The demons and human stayed silent waiting for someone to break the uncomfortable silence.

"Well.... She said we should deal with this like men so.... Thumb fight?", suggested the one eyed demon.

"Thumb fight", agreed his partner.

Without any other words they sat on the floor, on opposite sides of the small table, and made themselves ready for the fight of titans.

Mabel and Kryptos were watching how they tried to put the others thumb down.

"You know, Gideon didn't handle your break up well", Kryptos had her arms crossed and still looked at her boyfriend's and nemesis' childish behavior.
