I entered the house and removed my shoes and changed to indoor slippers

I sighed as my back was aching, so many papers to sign but thankfully I was done with work

Walking to the living room I was surprised to see dad

"Dad! Hi," I say walking up to him and he stood up with a smile

I hugged him and he hugged me back

When he pulled away from the hug I put down my stuff on the couch 

He gestured for me to sit down and I did so

"What brings you here?" I asked

'Work probably,' I thought to myself

"Hold on I called Yeji as well, she's on her way down"

He says, he didn't mention Soohyun so I wondered what this was gonna be about

"How was work?" he asked, "it was fine, not much to do"

I replied and he smiled, "I hope you don't overwork yourself Y/n"

I nodded, "I won't dad"

Hearing footsteps coming down we both looked to see Yeji walking up to us

She greeted dad before she took a seat beside me, "what's up?" she asked

All of our attention was on dad who seemed to be finding the words he wanted to say to us

He clasped his hands together and looked at us, "I really want you both to get married"

"EH!?"
"What?-"

Yeji and I said different things but it was the same reaction, disbelief and surprised

"Why?" Yeji asked, "well I'm old, and you both are in your thirties well Yeji is almost thirty... In short, I want grandchildren"

He says which made me laugh

Dad was always saying how he didn't want us to be in relationships and stay single

Now he wants us to be with someone?

"Why so sudden?" I asked

"I'm a tiny jealous of my friends that have grandchildren," he chuckles with a bright smile

"Soohyun as you know has a boyfriend, but I don't know when they'll get married..."

I still looked at dad blankly while Yeji looked a little annoyed

"Dad, when that time comes when we get married we'll wait then, I don't wanna rush things..." Yeji says and I agreed

He sighed, "I know, I'm just telling you what I think," he smiled

"Well that's all I wanted to say, I need to be with your mother now. Think about what I said please?"

We all stood up and we hugged dad before he left

I sat down tiredly and Yeji did the same

I looked at her and she looked drained out by our conversation with dad

"I don't wanna get married-"

"I mean it's fine for me, it's just I'm not dating anyone, and... Yeah"

Yeji agreed, she then began to complain

"Dad is probably gonna continue bugging us about this topic again sooner or later"

She says as she stood up, "I'm gonna sleep I'm tired..." she deeply huffed and walked away

Heading up to her room while I stayed on the couch

"RELATIONSHIPS ARE BULLSHIT!" I hear Yeji shout as she walked upstairs

"AGREED!!" I shout back

Soohyun then came in looking at me weirdly, "what was that about?"

She sat beside me and I noticed her drink and wanted to drink from me it but she told me it was coffee so I gave it back

"Dad came..."

"Ahh, he did? I was asleep," she chuckled, "what did he say?" she asked

"She wants Yeji and I to get married," she laughed, "he does?"

I nodded and grabbed one of the couch pillows

"That's why Yeji shouted?" I nodded, she scoffed

"As if the two of you have been in relationships," she rolled her eyes

"Well we haven't but! Our friends show how much it sucks," I stuck my tongue out and stood up

"They are stupid, men might cheat or whatever, or they'll be assholes!" I say while crossing my arms

She then raised a brow at me and took a sip of her coffee, "you say it as if you've dated someone before"

"I haven't, I've been single for thirty-one years"

"That's how old you are," I hear her say as I walked back upstairs

"Exactly my whole life," I shout since I was farther away from her

"And I want to keep it that way!!"
