Jake had entered Y/n office looking worried, he gently closed the door and walked up to the busy Y/n

She was typing furiously on her keyboard, the sounds of her keys were loud and concerning

Jake had thought she'd break her keyboard at this point

"Y/n?" he gently called her with a soft voice

Y/n sighed before she paused what she was doing and looked at Jake

She hummed in response and waited for what Jake had to say to her

"Are you okay?" he asked hesitantly, "yes why do you ask?"

Not wanting to say the reason but Jake had asked because Y/n had been strict with her employees these days, even toward assistant Yoon which was odd

"Well, you scolded your employee earlier for misspelling a word-"

"Well she was gonna send it to someone, she must spell everything right, I had the right to-"

"Yeah! I know, but you'd usually tell them and..." Jake looked at Y/ns expression

Besides Y/n getting mad at that, she even got mad at an employee just because she didn't place her cup on top of a coaster

Though Y/n had her resting face on, in Jake's mind he thought Y/n was pissed at her

She wasn't pissed at anyone in the company actually, but toward Jay

And she hadn't noticed but her anger towards him was affecting her personality toward her employees

Once Jake called her out for it she sighed and massaged her temples

"I'm sorry Jake... I just," she sighed once more before resting her head on the table

She was staring blankly at the table, not knowing what to say next

"Wanna talk about it?" Jake asked as he sat down

Y/n sat up and looked at him. She was silent, she didn't say anything but Jake being her close friend for a long time he gave her a small smile

"Is it about what happened at Soohyun noona's wedding?" he asked

Y/n huffed and nodded when Jake got it right

"Well, honestly Y/n I have no idea what happened between you two when you were dating him because you didn't tell me or anyone about it"

"I know! But I just..." she sighed again

Y/n was annoyed because ever since she had told Jay why she was so upset

He didn't apologize or explained himself, even though she knew she ran away after she said that

He didn't try to talk to her about it any further

Thats why she was so annoyed, thinking how he could just move on with life after she finally explained her hatred toward him

"Y/n, do you still like Jay?"

Jake's question caught Y/n off guard

"I uh..." she was speechless because she didn't want to admit she still did

But Jake read through her, "I do yes Jake, but I was just hurt by what he did. I loved him a lot and-"

"Why what did he do?" he asked

"Did you not hear me say it to Jay that day?"

Jake shook his head in response

She paused for a moment and thought of how she'd explain it to Jake

Her story was short and simple but she added everything Jake needed to know

"So that 'emergency' I told you was an excuse so I could leave"

Jake furrowed his eyebrows remembering this happening in their high school years

After a lot of thinking, he snapped his fingers and pointed at Y/n

"I remember this!" I nodded my head

"I can't blame anyone since no one knew about it, but Jay didn't even-"

"I guess you weren't there when we started playing the game that's why you don't understand"

Y/n raised her eyebrow and Jake began telling her what he briefly remembered

"Y/n Jay that day was angry! He got mad at the girl who kissed him, even before we started the game he kept telling us he didn't want to join"

He suddenly looked apologetic at Y/n, "I kinda forced him to join, but he still refused though!"

Y/n listened to Jake attentively

"The girl just forced him to, Jay was so mad trust me! He even stormed out of the room after he finally got the girl off him- but hold on"

Y/n raised a brow, "you two have dated since then?" he asked surprised

"Even before that... Junior year-"

"Junior year!?"

Jake exclaimed, he was so surprised that he covered his mouth with both of his hands

He suddenly gave Y/n two thumbs up still having the shocked expression on his face

"You two did a great job in hiding it"

Y/n chuckled at Jake's sudden compliment

But right after she chuckled, she thought about everything Jake had said

"I'm stupid, aren't I? I'm too sensitive..."

Y/n began pondering, if only she didn't leave Jay would have the chance to explain to her what had happened

But her emotions had won over her so she just escaped 

Jake just shook his head, "it's understandable why you did that Y/n, I mean you were hurt and confused from what you saw"

"But I could've-"

"It already happened, the two of you are stupid actually," Jake chuckled

Jake comforted her in every way possible, but Y/n was too embarrassed and guilty

There were s many thoughts in her head, she didn't know what to do

Jake was by her side the rest of the day as she still continued to ponder hard about her feelings and what she should do now
