"That ends our meeting"

Only four words and I sighed deeply

It has been a long day today and it was finally over

Our meeting had ended and we all thanked everyone, "Ms.Han"

I looked lifelessly at Jay as he called me, I raised a brow at him gesturing for him to speak

"Congratulations on your sister's engagement"

I furrowed my eyebrows, "how do you know?" I asked

"My mom told me, she said your mom had happened to tell her when they were at a coffee shop"

I nodded

Right... Our mothers used to be friends, I didn't know they still talked through

I haven't spoken to my mother I don't know how long

"Thank you, I'll tell her," I smiled softly

I thought he'd annoyed me after saying that but he just stood there, so I made my way out of the meeting room

"Our mothers still talk?" I asked him

"My mom said she happened to meet Mrs.Han and they had a chit chat after they continued talking and talking"

I nodded, our mothers were friends when Jay and I were in high school

But after I graduated college, mom never really spoke about Jay's family. So which meant they weren't that close anymore

Should I be happy that they're friends again or not?...

I reached outside of the company and I realized Jake had left a while ago

He wasn't in the meeting since he had other business to attend to

Assistant Yoon was on leave today and I didn't have any ride home

Though Jake was the one who brought me here, he's not here anymore

"I guess a taxi will do..." though I didn't want to take one since I don't trust taxi drivers

But there was no choice unless I wanted to walk home

I looked around to see no taxis passing by which was odd, since it wasn't past dinner time yet

The road looked pretty empty... I sighed wondering how long I was gonna wait until a taxi showed up

But I looked as a black car slowly drove and parked right in front of me, I raised a brow and looked surprised when the window rolled down

It was Jay

"Get in Ms.Han," he says and looked at me gesturing for me to enter

I shook my head, "I'm waiting for a taxi-"

"I've been waiting for you to get into a taxi for the..." he looked at his watch, "past two minutes, and I know you hate waiting"

I rolled my eyes and had no choice, he was right so I decided to give in and just get in the car

"Don't talk to me if it's useless Mr.Park, and just drive"

I say before shutting the door, I heard him chuckle

"We're not working anymore, Y/n"

It's been a while since I've heard him say my name, he's always been saying Ms.Han this and Ms.Han that

I just nodded and he started driving

He did what I said and just stayed quiet, I was just looking in front of us 

"Your house?" he asked and I hummed in response

After he asked to get stayed quiet again, he was following what I'm saying

It was sort of awkward though but it was better than him talking, but I spoke too soon

"I have your number now Ms.Han," he chuckled

I just hummed in response, "okay," and answered simply afterward

"What did you set my name as?"

"Bastard," I mumbled

"What?"

"I placed it as Mr.Park," I told him and he frowned, "boring"

I just nodded, "what did you name me?" I asked and he just chuckled

"That's a secret~"

"Thanks," I say as we were both outside his car

He nodded, "I'll come in with you," he says which made me raise a brow

"Why?" I asked

"To congratulate your sister, it's good manners, Ms.Han"

I sighed when he walked ahead and I had no choice since he was gonna greet my sister

I just followed him from behind, he opened the door for me and I walked inside

After we both removed our shoes we walked further inside and I was surprised to see my dad and Minsuk

"Oh dad, hello... Hello Minsuk-sshi," I bowed and they all stood up, but when I looked back at them

They looked surprised that it wasn't just me, "Jay?" my dad called out

Yeji looked at me with a confused expression, "hello Mr.Han, I came to congratulate Soohyun on her engagement"

"Thank you, Jay," Soohyun replied

"What's happening?" I asked and dad gestured for us to sit down

Jay sat beside me and I scooted over closer to dad, not wanting to be near Jay

"They were just telling me about the wedding!" my dad says excitedly

I chuckled, "also Jay, you're invited to the wedding as well since your whole family will be there," Soohyun announced

I wanted to disagree with that idea, but it wasn't just Jay going

His parents were as well, and this was Soohyuns wedding anyway. I can just avoid him

I looked at Jay as he suddenly looked at his phone, he looked at me then everyone before speaking

"I'm sorry, but I have to leave something urgent happened"

My dad smile and nodded allowing him to leave

Jay said goodbye to everyone as he stood up and placed back his phone in his pocket

He looked at me and muttered the word bye before leaving

As we sat back down dad looked at me a smiled

"Are you dating Jay?" he asked in a whisper

I immediately shook my head, "no dad"

He chuckled, "well I just thought, since it seemed like you weren't interested in Sunghoon, I thought he was the reason"

I shook my head before listening to the plans for the wedding
