"Capsicle ,get out of my lab we don't have time for this ." To say that Tony was angry and depressed , was an understatement. Sure Bucky was Steve's best friend, but Tony didn't think Steve would have the audacity to hide such a cruel thing from him.
"I'm sorry . " It had been six months since the whole team got back together. They haven't signed the sokovia accords thanks to Bruce and Thor . Bucky kept apologizing with a crestfallen face each time he saw Tony ,yet it wasn't enough.
It couldn't be enough, to be honest. It's his parents for god's sake . The PTSD wasn't helping Tony either ,even after Pepper would always assure him he'd be okay and she wasn't leaving him no matter what. She really is the best .
"He's trying to make things right ! Why can't you-" Before Steve could complete, he heard a timid voice from the lab .
"Mr. Stark ? Shit- Tony ?" The voice was followed by a cute yawn , the person appearing in the dim light rubbing her eyes . Tiredness was clearly evident in her eyes .
"You went through the thesis ? Already !?!" Tony half yelled as Bruce appeared next . "Told you she's great ." Bruce stood proudly next to the woman in his lab coat.
Meanwhile, Steve , Bucky and Sam looked like they've been living under a rock . There was another scientist in the lab and none of them knew?!
Steve was awestruck. The Lilo and stitch pyjamas, the short ruffled hair , the cerulean glasses resting on the crown of her forehead and the slight under eye redness from lack of sleep ? Or too much reading maybe ?
"When did we get a new scientist in the lab ? Hi by the way , I'm Sam. " Ofcourse, Sam would be the first one to make conversation . That's how he is .
"Oh- I'm - I'm y/n . Nice to finally meet you. " You smiled brightly at the trio yawning immediately. "Sorry about that uhm- I actually know all three of you . Just didn't have the time to meet you ."
"I like your pyjamas." Before Bucky could comprehend what just flew out of his mouth , you giggled tapping your toes .
"Thanks ! Stitch reminds me a lot of you , James. " Steve stood quietly , admiring the cute , shorter person in front of him. He noticed Bucky almost smile at her comment before Tony cleared his throat.
