Chapter 10

I woke up to see that Bucky wasn't in the bed. Just then the door to the bedroom and from the door that leaded outside flung open.

"I bought you breakfast doll," he smiled and sat next to me. I couldn't do nothing but smile. He was just unique. So perfect.

"Aw, you didn't have to."

"But I want to," he pressed a kiss on my cheek. "This is literally the best fucking way to wake up," I kissed him and smiled. He handed me 2 white plastic boxes with a knife and a fork. "So, I bought you your favorite English breakfast in that one," he pointed at one of the boxes. "French pancakes in that one and well the last one is for me but you can have some if you want. You can even take the whole box," he smiled and handed me his meal. "No, no, no, I can't just take yours!" I protested. "But thanks again," I smiled and kissed him.

We ate and talked for a while. We finished and I got up to change from my pyjamas to sports clothes. That's when I first looked at the time. "08:12, I am going for my morning run before the mission," I said as I walked towards the door. "Are you coming?" I asked Bucky. "No, I don't feel like running now. But you... You're sporty and you have it like a routine. Just go, you don't have to stay here because of me," he smiled "Bye Bucky," I said as I smiled back and left.

I was the only girl at the whole team who runs in the mornings. I usually go running with Steve and Sam in the mornings. It's like our little routine. I just don't feel fresh if I don't go running in the cool air at the morning. But I wasn't sure if they were coming today because of the mission. And Sam is the one who always saves energy.

As I was walking down the hall and towards the elevators and stairs I heard people that walked fast towards me. I thought that it was Sam and Steve and I almost chuckled. But then something happened.

The people behind me whispering. But they whispered in German. I was gonna act like I didn't know that someone was behind me. The footsteps came closer and closer. They were so close that I could feel the wind that the two men were making when going.

I turned around.

I immediately pinned one of them to the ground. The other one jumped on me. We started fighting but I tried not to make any noise because people were still asleep at that time of the day and it wasn't only us on this floor. But being quiet didn't work well. I took out my secret electroshock weapon that I always bring no matter where I go, out. I used it on the guy that was jumping on me. He started screaming like hell. Because of his screams I guess, Tony and Bucky came out of their rooms and saw me fighting the guys. But while I was distracted by my electroshock weapon, the guy who'd been pinned to the ground by me took up a gun that I saw with the corner of my eyes. Tony and Bucky immediately started running towards us. That made the guy who I'd pinned to the ground point his gun at Bucky and Tony. They both stopped running. I couldn't let something happen.

I punched the guy and he pointed the gun at me. Bucky and Tony was slowly walking towards us so that the guy wouldn't notice them.

The punch didn't have do much. The guy was about to shoot me. I took his hand just in time and he shot straight into the ceiling. I could feel that the cartridge flew only a few inches from my nose

I punched the guy so hard that he was finally knocked out. I took the gun from his hand and shot them both, right into their heads.

I immediately turned around to Bucky and Tony. They were both looking shocked and scared. For the first time I could actually see fear in Bucky's eyes.

I ran to him and gave him a tight hug.

"Are you okay," I whispered. "Grace, you're asking if I'm okay? Have you thought about yourself," he chuckled which made me chuckle. "Thank you James, I'm completely fine. I mean I almost died but yeah," I pulled away from the tight hug and and smiled at him. He leaned in and pressed a soft, fast kiss on my lips.
