"Danielle! Why don't you understand what I'm trying to tell you?" Jaina asked her best friend. Danielle didn't really respond to her, she just gave her an annoyed look which denoted that she wanted to discontinue with the current topic of the conversation.
"I am not dropping this conversation. You know we need to talk about this. You can't ignore it forever." Jaina added.
"I'm not ignoring anything, Jaina. This conversation is just absolutely useless and we have nothing, I repeat, nothing, to talk about." Danielle said.
"Yeah? Then why the fuck are you so upset about Stefania going on a date with some random guy?" Danielle didn't say anything for what felt like a good minute or so.
"Tell me Danielle"
"Because I don't fucking know Jaina. I've not dated anyone properly for almost three years now because she never thought anyone was ever good enough for me. And now-" Danielle sighed. "And well now she's out there, dating this random guy, and she's apparently quite serious about him. I just don't know how to feel about that."
"Yeah, so we're just gonna pretend that you both aren't just clearly into each other and move on." Jaina said in the calmest way possible.
Danielle just looked at her with the most shocked expression which slowly dialed down, because she knew Jaina wasn't wrong. At least about her feelings towards Stefania.
"Let's be honest Dani, you weren't dating anyone seriously not because Stefania had opinions, also not because her opinion mattered to you, it was because you didn't want to date anyone but her. Stop running away from your feelings. I've seen the way you look at her. Fucking hell man, Carlos and I even gave it a name." Jaina said with a smile on her face.
"What name?" Danielle asked.
"Stefania Land."

"Ughhhh, why is he so annoying?" Stefania said, as frustrated as ever as she sat on the couch at Danielle's place.
"What did he do now?" Danielle asked.
Stefania was recently given an assistant by the company she was working with. Before meeting him, she was pretty excited and relieved because that would mean her workload would dial down, but he was making life harder. He knew close to nothing but always walked around like he knew every single thing about this damn world. He was a guy who considered himself to be the most good looking man ever, he walked around with a smirk on his face, feeling every girl was impressed by him. He even thought Stefania was into him, which he explicitly said to her inside of her office once.
"Nothing, he just does nothing and yet every single day, all I want to do is punch him."
Danille laughed at Stefania's frustration. To her it was cute. She was equally annoyed by him, even though she never met him. But she got the 'stupid straight man' vibe hearing about him from Stefania.
"Okay. Stefania, as much as I know that you're annoyed by Victor, and you'll probably be for a while, I don't want you to spoil your mood because of him. He is not worth it. Okay?"
Stefania just nodded as Danielle smiled and got up to bring some wine for the two of them. They spent the rest of the evening watching movies and having takeout.
*one message from Jaina*
Danille unlocked her phone to see what Jaina had said.Jaina: Danielle, it's been three years. Tell her chica. I know you're with her right now. It's gonna keep killing you if you don't.
