Summary:
An unbreakable bond is formed.
Notes:
Hey, all I made a small Pinterest board for this fic because I love doing mood boards.

"The point, beloved," I spat the last word bitterly, batting my lashes at the Prince of Asgard sweetly. "..is that you cannot be trusted." I faked sweetness. He rolled his eyes at my attitude again.
"When have I devised a plan that has not worked?" he asked rhetorically. I pursed my lips in response. "My plans always work for me." He added with a grin; I frowned.
"Well, that's just not going to work this time." I got to my feet. "The Norn Stones have powers beyond your wildest imagination. They are not just near impossible to find, but also guarded by the most vicious magic ever known." He leaned forward in his seat as I conjured a visual of the story through my magic. He blinked in surprise as a white glow illuminated the room.
"Seidr? You're a sorceress?" He said it more like a statement than an actual question.
"Witch. Did you think you're the only one raised by a volva?" I faked surprise and chuckled when he frowned. My white seidr wrapped around his face teasingly before spelling out the word 'focus'. It faded and began shaping along with my recounting as I continued.
"It's believed that the guarding curses are so strong they turn your own mind against you. All ancient texts warn that before you enter the Norn Cave you need to make sure you're completely alone and you trust your mind." I waved my hand and the magic disappeared. "Therefore, my darling prince, if we cannot trust one another, there's no point in even trying to find the stones." He watched me, completely unfazed, before sighing loudly.
"God of Lies, little princess." He mused, grinning playfully. "What do you suggest?"
I copied his expression, biting my lower lip suggestively. Two can play that game. He eyed me cautiously as my white seidr formed again.
"I'm glad you asked." I announced, flicking my wrist lightly. The magical glow floated above our heads and attached to one of the higher shelves, engulfing the book I needed, and bringing it down between us. With another wave of my hand, the book opened to the required page, presenting itself to the dark-haired prince.
"The Vow of Fealty?" He blinked at the page, before casting me a puzzled look.
"A simple but highly effective spell." I watched his brows furrow in concentration as he carefully read the detailed texts, confirming just how safe it is. He pursed his lips before slowly looking up at me. Now my patience was running low, "Well?"
"Fine." He said reluctantly, "Just make it quick." He got to his feet and rolled up his sleeves. I pulled off my left glove and extended my hand toward him. He grabbed my forearm as the book floated next to us. We chanted the spell in unison, altering our right hands over and under our lefts.
A mist of green and white swirled around us and when the spell was finally complete, it split evenly forming the runes spelling 'vow' and searing themselves onto both our wrists. Hot tears formed in my eyes as the spell burnt into my skin. The god placed two fingers on his tattoo while I chose not to touch it to prevent the burning from growing. "How powerful is this spell anyway?" He asked suddenly, his eyes moving from his wrist to meet mine.
"Why don't you see for yourself?" I raised my eyebrows suggestively.
He wasted no time before his seidr formed around his hand. I saw him release the magic towards me before it bounced off an invisible shield in front of my face, ricocheting towards him, and throwing him into the shelves behind. I giggled as he found his feet.
