I was distracted by a knock, so I immediately got up from my seat and walked toward the large door.

"Mr. Caio, General William wants to talk to you". said a palace soldier.

"Why?". I asked reluctantly, isn't the General done inspecting me yet? He had already undressed me before, and my belongings were all messed up because of what he did.

"I don't know Sir. The General is in the living room and he said he will talk to you there". He finally said and turned to leave.

I scratched my neck and went back inside to put on the sleeves I had taken off earlier. I was only wearing a black shirt, the General might think I didn't know how to dress formally. He's a perfectionist.

I looked at myself in the large mirror and left the room. I walked down the long hallway, as I walked slowly I also looked at the pictures hanging on the wall, everything here looked elegant.

I turned left to exit the hallway and there, I was greeted by some palace soldiers. The General sitting on the elegant sofa, while his soldiers stood around him.

We are still here on the top floor and every floor here is probably a mansion, like this, with a red carpet with black lining. The living room, on the other hand, is very nice and has a lot of things that I'm sure are worth as much as cars.

I approached the General when I had finished looking across the living room. I can say this is a living room because it has a sofa, a large flat screen television, vases and large side windows.

"You called me General William, do you have anything to say?". I only found out his name on the soldier earlier.

He smiled broadly and stood up to approach me.

"I'm here to clarify a few things for you Mr. Caio". He said, his voice tinged with sarcasm.

"Say what you want to say". I said clearly.

He walked around me, and it was as if he was suspicious of my presence here, that he knew I had a bad plan.

I swallowed and I took a deep breath.

"I know you're an artist, you're a good painter, you're good at drawing little things as well as faces that interest you.". He stated. He was still walking, which annoyed me.

"Can you say what you want to say now Mr. General? Because I'll be down later to go to the library and the class will start with the Sultana". I said seriously.

"Relax Mr. Caio, I'm not here to argue with you or anything. I just want you to know that anyone who violates the rules of this palace dies. All violators die. So if I'm with you I'll keep quiet and do what should be.". The general said threateningly.

"I have no intention of anything-". He interrupted what I was saying and he spoke right away.

"Of course not Mr. Caio! I'm not saying you're going to break the law, what I'm saying are just reminders because you might not be able to get out of here alive". he said laughing

"Wal-". he cut me off.

He laughed out loud which made me very angry with him.

"I know you are a painter and artist but I warn you Mr. Caio that when I see a portrait of the sultana in whatever thing you have now, I will tell you myself. You will die". He said. He just focused his eyes on me and stared at me intently.

I didn’t flinch and kept my posture, I wouldn’t show that I was affected by what he said, I wouldn’t make him feel that I was afraid of him.

"You are not sure of what you are saying General William. Not everyone who enters your palace has malice. I am here because I am the one summoned by the Sultana and not you.". My bold statement.

I walked away from him and faced everyone with the General.

"Aren't you ashamed of yourself General? You're scaring innocent people! An educated people. I went to harvard school but you just underestimated me, but are you? Can you be proud of anything other than guns and swords that you have? No. So if I were you, I would stop intimidating visitors because you also don't know who you're up against. ". I remind before I turn away.

I stopped walking when I remembered something.

"And one more thing, I don't even know the Sultana of this place but I have a lot of respect for her, my mother didn't raise me just to break the law, I hope you are also General, I hope you studied first before becoming a good General ". I told him last before I asked where the library was.

I looked at the watch on my wrist, it was 7:54am  and I only had a few minutes to catch up. I have to be early, the Sultana can't wait for me.

"Can you tell me where the palace library is?". I asked.

"Just go out that door and the door with the Librayó is the palace library". the general said.

I smiled and saluted them all.

"Thank you". I said and walked to get out of this room.

I ran fast so I could get to my own room right away. I first had to get dressed and be formal in front of the Sultana. I can't look like this in front of her.

The Sultana is a high profile person and I will not face her like an ordinary. I must look like a respectful and professional teacher.

I took off the red sleeves and that's what I wore. I also put away the sketch pads scattered on the soft bed.

Before I closed the pad, I looked at the sketch of the woman, I didn't know who she was. She is the woman I imagine when I think of the Sultana. She may not be, they may just look alike but there is no certainty.

Whichever woman I drew today, she was the content of my imaginary earlier as I drew her face.

I closed the pad and picked up some paint brushes, paint and some more pattern pencils. I went to the mirror to see if I looked good. If I'm attractive enough to be liked by the sultana.

Being good looking will be your asset when meeting someone you don't know yet. And I want to impress the Sultana. That's my main goal, the reason why I'm here and when she gets close to me maybe I can paint her face and she will open up to me.

My plan is to get closer to her and I will definitely make a way when she falls in love with me.
