Chapter 26

Y/N's POV:

We were driving towards Duskwood in my car. Jake was looking so happy and satisfied. I could feel the relief in his voice everytime we talked. Surprisingly, Jake and Justin were getting along really well. Both of them didn't really had a father figure in their lives, nor did they had any friends..they shared so much in common... It was like they had become best friends and I was so happy for them both.

Jake: So, Justin, tell me more about your life. Like, what about your family?

Justin: Um.. I have a small family with only my mom, sister and me. I never had any friends. My dad died when I was four... He was an FBI agent too, that's why it was always my dream to be just like him.

Jake: Oh.. I am so sorry about your dad. I know he would be so proud of you if he was here.

Justin: Yeah.. That's right. Mom often says the same thing. Well, it's only possible because of my dear ma'am here, that I am where I am today.

Me: Oh, Justin. How many times have I told you to not say that. It's because of you, you are where you are.

Jake: Wait, what are you talking about?

Justin: I was a nobody, Jake. I had absolutely no worth, until that day, when ma'am decided to make me her assistant. And my life has changed for the positive since then.

Jake: Wow.. So MC, you are not only my angel, but Justin's too?

Me: Oh stop it both of you. You guys are making me blush. Let me concentrate on the road.

I said playfully, both of them chuckled at my reply. It felt so good being with two amazing guys of my life. Justin knew me more than anyone else. He kind of knew about my past life and he was always there for me whenever I needed him.

It took us nearly two hours to reach Duskwood. Alex's hideout was in a very secluded and abandoned type of area. Him and Max, Commited guilty of all the crimes they had done.

Damien didn't had much to share in their horrible crimes. Like Jake, he was forced to work for Alex and hence he was only punished for 2 years in jail.

Alex hadn't actually killed anyone. It was mainly the Mafia's job. He had tortured several people though. Robbery from the banks and rich people. Abducting, torturing or selling people, selling illegal drugs and items online through his illegal websites.. Such were the horrible crimes done by him and his members.

My heart was broken learning about all of this. My own brother? Why?! I couldn't even look him in the eyes when he was being sentenced. But I am sure, when he would be released, after 14 years of his imprisonment, he would be a changed person. He promised me. I didn't say anything to him... I couldn't. But I just hope he makes something good out of his life.

I would be waiting for him. He's my brother after all.

We reached the motel and as we were walking towards the entrance, I suddenly stopped.

Jake: What happened MC?

Me: Lilly.

Justin: What?

Me: Lilly, she must be there. She'll finally see you, Jake!

Jake seemed as if he just realised that. He looked nervous.

Justin: C'mon, you'll finally meet your sister, Jake!

Jake: How will she react? I don't know-

Me: C'mon, we don't have time to chat right now.

I pulled Jake's arm and started dragging him towards the reception. Lilly was there, working on some papers. She looked up and smiled at me and Justin. But she looked at Jake curiously.

Me: Hey Lilly!

Lilly: MC, hey. Where were you? And.. Who is this?

Her voice fainted towards the end of her sentence..

"He's your half brother!" both me and Justin practically screamed out of joy. Her eyes went wide in shock. She just stared at Jake for a few seconds, Jake's reaction was exactly like hers... Suddenly she started crying and came towards us, she jumped on Jake, hugging him tight. He hugged her too.

Justin and I went to stand in the corner, giving both of them some time alone.

"That's exactly how my sister reacted when I told her about me being your assistant, ma'am. She jumped on me exactly like that!"

Justin chuckled remembering the sweet memory. I looked up at him and smiled.

"I guess that's how I jumped on Alex..?"

Tears filled my eyes. My brother, I wanted him to be with me. I wanted us to spend the lost time together. I wanted to cry in his arms too. I wanted to tell him about everything I went through after he left me. I wanted to hug him again.

"No.. You basically pounced on him like the lioness that you are."

Justin said and I giggled. He obviously observed the sadness on my face.

"I missed him so much, Justin. After our parents abandoned us, he was the only family I had. Then he left me too. I finally found him after all these years, to get him arrested. How terrible is that?"

"Don't worry ma'am. I saw the hurt and love in his eyes when he saw you. He didn't try to run away, not once. He quietly went away with the officers. He accepted everything. That wasn't the Alex who punched me and threatened to kill Jake and me. He loves you so much, that he even went to jail.... You just have to wait... Then you'll have him with you. You guys can start over."

Justin reassured me. I smiled and nodded at him. He was right. I was still looking at Justin when suddenly Lilly came running towards me and hugged me with such force that I nearly fell backwards.

"M-MC... Thank you! Thank you so much! You brought my sister and now my brother back to me... How will I ever be able to repay you?"

"Please don't thank me, Lilly. You don't have to repay me anything. Just be happy Okay? That's all I want from you."

Lilly weakly nodded, still crying. Jake was silently crying too. This was all so overwhelming for all of us.

Jake came and stood in front of me. His crystal blue eyes, staring deep into my soul. He wanted to say a lot of things, but I knew he couldn't find the words. But his eyes, his eyes were speaking more than any words.
Suddenly he pulled me close and then the next thing I realised was his lips on mine. I was taken aback from the sudden reaction, but I kissed him back. He snaked his arms around my waist, my own arms, around his neck, pulling him closer to me. He expressed all his feelings into the kiss, he was thanking me for everything...

We slowly pulled away, catching our breaths. He rested his head on my shoulder, still hugging me.

"I love you so much MC. Please never leave me. You gave me everything I could have ever asked for." Jake whispered.

"I love you too, Jake. And... Leaving you would be the last thing I will ever do in this life. Also, I told you before, and I am telling you again.. You deserve the world, Jake."

He looked at me with admiration and love. This was it! This was all I ever wanted. I had finally found my brother. I had an amazing family in the form of my crazy friends. I had an awesome assistant. And now.. Finally.. I had my Jake with me.

"Wouldn't you want to meet your other sister too, Jake?"

Justin brought us out of our little moment. Both of us looked at him and Lilly, both of them were smirking at us... Uh.. They had seen everything. I felt my cheeks burning... Jake was looking just as flustered as me.

We decided to take some rest in our motel rooms, since tonight we would be meeting everyone at the Aurora. Jake was so nervous. He had talked to Hannah before, they even used to video call each other. Hannah already Knows Jake, how he looks like, how his voice sounds like. But one thing she didn't Knew was... Them being half siblings. That was the thing Jake was most worried about.
