C H A P T E R 18

Stars POV:
Eventually the waiter had began to bring out our food.
We were all sitting down, eating, talking, overall having a fun time.
I could briefly hear some of the things my mum was saying to Jessica and Dj, but that's when I heard their mum bring up Astra.

Third person POV:
"So how's Star going about the whole Astra thing, Jayla was telling us about it" Jessica said.
"Oh yes, uh she's not to great" Stars mum lowered her voice "she's blaming herself and she feels bad that she isn't there" "aw poor angel" Jessica said putting her hand over her heart briefly looking over at Star then back at her mother.

"Actually that reminds me" Stars mum said and they both tuned in "hm?" "So since the whole situation with Astra, I feel like it would be a good idea that Star goes down to visit Australia and Astra for a couple weeks, but she doesn't want to go with just me" she started as they nodded along "would it be possible if I could bring your kids down too? I can pay for all of them, and I can enroll them in Stars old school, so they aren't missing much school, it's 100% okay if you don't agree with it I completely understand".

They both looked at eachother then looked at Star in sympathy, the last time they saw her she had so much light and joy in her but she looks like she's just losted it.

I mean yeah she's smiling and laughing but she doesn't have the same sparkle.
Jessica turned to Dj and he slightly nodded "of course, and we can pay for our kids there's no need, but we would like some information on the area, school, and possibly your phone number so if anything goes wrong you can contact us".
Stars mother smiled "of course".

They three of them talked about it as Stars mother told them all about the school, leaving out the basic Australian things that happen and happen at all school, she told them all about the area, the hotels she was looking at staying, and lastly they exchanged phone numbers.

"So how would this all be even possible, I mean doesn't Australian schools teach differently to America?" Dj asked "yes but" she slightly lowered her voice again "Star doesn't really have a great attendance at school and they really want her to attend, so I was going to go talk to them tomorrow about the whole thing, I just wanted to see if you would want your kids to go".

They nodded "we can go in with you if you'd like so they know it's okay by us aswell" Jessica offered "oh that would be wonderful".
Stars mother continued to tell them about the school, and how even though it's a public school you still have a uniform, basically all Australian schools do.

"Oh and these are the little uniforms, Star hates her formal uniform but I think it's adorable" she shows them a group photo of Star, Astra, Cody, Nate, and Jared all in their formal uniforms so they can see the boys formal uniform aswell.
"Oh and they have a sports uniform" her mother tried to find a photo of Star and her friends in the sports uniform without them flipping off the camera, eventually she found one.

"Ah here it is" she says showing them a photo of Astra and Star, they were standing awkwardly next to eachother putting a thumbs up. "That's Astra" she said pointing to her "that was them last year, a couple days before Star found out she was moving"

"She's such a pretty girl" Jessica says. "I know, they had sleepovers almost every weekend".

"Who did Star usually hang out with, apart from Astra" Jessica asked "oh she had many friends her and Astra had their little friend group with Nate and Cody, but they also would occasionally hang out with their friends, like Jared I think his name was" she turned to Star "was his name Jared?" Stars eyes went wide "who's name?" Her mum pulled up a picture of her and Jared, his arm resting on her shoulder as they both flipped off the camera.

"Yeah his name is Jared" Stars mum turned back around to them "yes Jared, oh Bree, Bree is such a sweetheart, Keyara, so many more" Stars mum said smiling remembering Australia.
She missed it, but she wouldn't admit that.

"Seems like you guys loved Australia, why did you move?" Stars mum froze for a second "I felt like we needed a change" she said lying knowing that it was to get as far away as possible from Stars father.

"Oh and uh Star doesn't even know about the Australia trip yet, I'm telling her soon" they nodded and agreed not to tell their kids about the trip either yet.

Thankyou for reading and yes I know this chapter is kinda short but I have things planned for upcoming chapters.
And I know that this is very unrealistic, and that what you learn in and American school versus an Australian school is different but for the sake of this book majority of the classes are the same and if they aren't I'll mention it.

Also I've changed my posting schedule I post a new chapter once every 2 days, so every second day there will be a new chapter, unless Im being nice and post more.
