Listen, if someone had called Kiera up at this very moment and said, "Stalking is illegal!" or, "Don't go around stalking people!"... it isn't like that would have changed her plans. She would have laughed, told them to fuck off, and gone about day. It wasn't her fault that stalking happened to be on the agenda.
Plus, she had a good reason to be peeking out from behind a building right now. She was determined to get to the bottom of Takemichi's weird behaviour. It didn't sit right with her. How he acted, how he worded things.
If he was a spy, infiltrating Toman, she was planning on giving him a piece of her mind. But even just thinking of Takemichi as a spy brought tears of laughter to her eyes.
On top of that, her mind kept going back to the fight with Kiyomasa. When that pink haired teen stabbed him. But he hadn't actually stabbed him, he'd put the knife away. And yet she'd seen it so clearly...
Something was going on, she could feel it in her gut. So she was going to figure it out.
Her outfit for the day consisted of boots, black jean shorts, and a purple and black hoodie. She'd stolen it from Chifuyu, going as far as to raid his home when he was out with Baji. His mother had laughed and let her in, recommending the one she'd taken.
A pair of binoculars also hung around her neck— perfect for looking from a distance. Takemichi stood a mere couple feet ahead, meeting with Draken, so they weren't necessary at the moment. It sounded as if Takemichi had asked to be.. his bodyguard?!
HAHHAHAHA, TAKEMICHI being DRAKEN'S bodyguard? Now that'd be a sight!
No offense to Michi of course, but if there was someone even Draken couldn't handle, the poor boy didn't stand a chance. Draken was one of the best fighters she knew. But it seemed as if he wasn't giving up that easily.
Just as she was tailing Takemichi, he was now tailing Draken. Which just made him all the more suspicious in her book. Why was he so desperate to be near Toman's leaders? To go as far as following them?
Their journey ended up being one of utmost stupidity, for lack of a better word. Draken met up with Mikey, meaning Takemichi was following them, and she was following all three. They ended up at the restaurant "Joying-sun".
Mikey ordered his usual kids meal, didn't get a flag (to which Draken provided) and then fell asleep. So nothing out of the normal.
Picking up the small blond, Draken gave him a piggyback out of the restaurant. After paying for the bright green drink she'd ordered, seeing Takemichi get it first, she followed suit. It was getting so boring though.
Not once had she gotten a chance to use her binoculars! That, and Takemichi wasn't giving her any info. So as soon as Toman's leaders entered the hospital they'd walked to, she snuck up behind him.
"Boo!" Grabbing his shoulders, the poor boy gave the most heart-wrenching scream. Immediately trying to flee, eyes watering, Kiera simply doubled over laughing.
"Oh my god!" Takemichi sobbed through free flowing tears. "Kiera why would you do that!?"
"Y-y-your reaction w-was priceless HAHAHAHA." Even clutching her stomach didn't ease the pain she felt, her core taught.
"We're outside a hospital!"
Taking deep breaths, and laughs finally subsiding, she wiped away her tears. "I know I know, I'm sorry. I couldn't help it! If you want to learn more about Mikey and Draken you should keep following them inside. You'll find them at the ICU."
With a long sigh befitting that of an old, tired man, Takemichi thanked her before doubling back "How do you know I was following them!?"
"Cuz I was following you silly! Now get going!" He was about to ask her again, but she shooed him away. "We can talk later."
Once he'd left, she took a seat on the ground outside the hospital. It wasn't as if she didn't want to go in with them. Kiera had just already paid her respects to Pahs buddies girlfriend. Chiyo, she had learned her name was. The condition she was in made her feel physically sick.
There wasn't a doubt in her mind that was why Draken had brought Mikey here. And after following Takemichi she was certain of one thing: he was no spy. She still didn't understand his weird behaviour, but she had confidence he had everyone's best interests at heart.
As Takemichi watched Draken and Mikey in there she hoped he'd find the answers to whatever he was looking for.
Pulling down the sleeves of Chifuyu's hoodie, she let it encompass her completely; basking in its comfort. She hadn't known the faux blond for long, only a little over a year. But she wouldn't trade their meeting for the world
Chifuyu Matsuno was the closest person she had in life, other than her brother. Whenever they were together it felt like she could do anything. He was her safe space. Which only made her all the more cautious. Because if there was anything she was scared of, it was hurting Chifuyu just like she'd hurt so many before.
It was selfish of her to even be friends with him. She was toxic. But she just couldn't let him go.
With those thoughts in her mind, Kiera didn't bother to wait for them any longer. Picking herself up, she left for home with a hum. The meeting about Moebius wasn't until tomorrow, so she might as well get some homework done, right?
And best not to bother the three inside with her presence.
