After about 35 minutes of searching for some lunch, Susie carried Skid and Pump off to a restaurant playplace to try and cheer them up as she scavenged for food, as the old food at the hotel was destroyed.

Along the way, Skid found an old knapsack laying on the ground. He put his crowbar in it, and everything else too.

When they got there, as Skid and Pump were trying to have fun... they heard a meow. A cat must have gotten in somehow.

They searched the play structures, and Skid finally found a small black cat. It looked to be starving.

Skid's heart sank to see this poor thing all on its own, so he quickly rushed to the kitchen, holding the cat close to him, to find some milk for it.

"Skid, I found some in the kitchen!" Pump called.

Skid dashed to the kitchen, carrying the cat in his arms. There was nothing but spoiled milk. No Pump. Was this a prank?

But just then, a large, scorpion-like tail stabbed the carton and took it away, causing the cat to leap out of Skid's arms and run off. The sounds of slurping were heard, and the empty carton flew back and hit Skid's head.

Skid ran out of the kitchen with a horrified face. Whatever that thing was, it was certainly not Pump, but instead, something or someone doing an accurate impression of him.

The skeleton-dressed boy found Pump and Susie and warned them to not go in the kitchen. Pump, however, couldn't help but take a peek inside...

Only to get stabbed in the shoulder by the same tail that Skid was ambushed by.

As Skid and Susie rushed into the kitchen, there laid Pump on the floor, foaming at the mouth. There appeared to be milk bubbles in the foam.

He tried to get back up, but he couldn't move. He was slightly twitching in pain and groaning.

Susie picked up Pump with tears in her eyes, but the same tail was about to strike her down. Skid saved her life by distracting the tail, pulling the crowbar out of his bag and swinging it at it...

And then, a woman who looked like Jaune, Ross's mother, stepped out of the darkness. The scorpion tail was portruding from her eye socket, her clothes were violently torn, and she was doing an exorcism-style walk, being held up by 4 lumpy, fleshy, appendix-like limbs.

It was her. And she looked thirsty. Bloodthirsty.

"YOU... CHILDREN..." she growled. "I... THIRST... FOR YOUR CALCIUM!!!"

"JAUNE?!" Skid shouted. He never got to know her very well, but this would be the lasting impression. And it wasn't a good one.

As Skid tried fending off the tail, it swept past him and slapped Susie away from her little brother, who was slowly starting to recover with bandages and medicine. Skid, not wanting to leave Pump unattended, rushed to him and moved him to a safe spot.

Susie got back up and leaped on the tail, now flailing around violently. It smashed her against the wall. It curved and tried to sting her a few times. Jaune herself even spat out spoiled milk, which hit her in the left eye, rendering it blind. She also threw a shard of glass at her eye, worsening the wound.

But Susie still kept crawling towards Ross's mom.

Finally, Susie pulled out a pocket knife and aggressively stabbed Jaune in the heart with it. Jaune let out an ear-piercing screech as she fell to the floor, dead. The scorpion tail also fell down.

Susie held her blinded eye shut in pain, and she ran to her little brothers, who were crying.

As she comforted them, Pump was the first to notice Susie's bloodshot, glass-pierced eye.

"S-Susie... your eye...!" he stammered.

"Yeah, I know," she said. "I'm kinda blind there now." She was very disturbingly chill about it.

"Susie...?" Skid whimpered.

Upon noticing his sister trying to remove the glass shard from her eye with her fingers, he gagged.

"Welp, looks like I might need to cut this thing out," Susie said after a few attempts.

"NO!!!" Skid and Pump screamed, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Guys, I'll still be fine with just one eye," she said. "I can still see my favorite little beans with it just fine, besides."

"B-but Susie," Skid whimpered. "You're only a preteen! You might accidentally hurt yourself!"

"Well, I mean I did cut my own hair to look like this," Susie responded. "And pretty much everyone at the hospital was dead, so I stitched this scar on my nub shut all by myself."

Skid and Pump were horrified but impressed.

"Don't worry Susie, we'll help you find another hospital," Skid said as he and his siblings walked out of the play area.
