Lyra's POV

A bright sun on my face woke me up and the first thing I saw was Ivan sleeping in front of me. He looked so precious, like an angel. When I realized we were still on the train, I checked the time and it was almost time to get off.

I had to wake Ivan up, but I didn't want to. As I cleaned up the mess we made in the cabin and packed my bags, I had no choice but to wake him now.

"Ivan," I called his name with a nervous tone. Ivan was a heavy sleeper and made this even more difficult for me.

After repeating his name over and over again, I finally tapped on his shoulder. He opened his eyes, struggling from the sun's brightness, and looked around.

"Finally, I was starting to think you were dead honestly," I joked.

"Why didn't you wake me up before?" He asked while yawning.

"Because," I said and paused, thinking of a lie.

"Because what?" He smirked.

Sometimes I think he is capable of reading my mind.

"What are you smirking for? And because of... because we still had time, so I didn't want to wake you up," I lied. No, I tried to lie.

Even though I sometimes believe I am good at lying, everyone knows I am bad at it.

"So it's not because I looked cute or anything?" He laughed.

"What?! No, humble yourself," I rolled my eyes and stood up to get my bags.

Ivan's POV

I watched Lyra as she stood. The moment she turned her back on me, I knew she was secretly smiling. I loved making her nervous.

It was time for me and Lyra to get off the train, we both got out of our cabin and headed outside. It was my first time being in Toronto.

"I texted my mom that we arrived, now we wait for her to pick us up," Lyra said, turning off her phone. I nodded in response.

"What if your parents don't like me?" I asked. My real concern was that if they didn't like me, it would be awkward. And since I'm unfamiliar with the area, I didn't even know where else I could stay.

"Why wouldn't they? Everyone likes you," she said with a reassuring smile.

"You think so?"

"Of course," she nodded.

"Do you?"

"Do I what?"

"Do you like me?" I asked her playfully, but I could see her blushing.

"Are you blushing?" I asked and walked faster than usual just to stand in front of her. Now we were both staring at each other in the middle of a sidewalk.

"No, I'm not," she stuttered. She looked both nervous and mad. I get that I annoyed her so much today.

"Ok, I'm sorry Lyra, I am just messing with you," I stated.

"You are not funny," she said while rolling her eyes again. After a few seconds, she started looking around and pointed somewhere.

"Let's go sit there and wait for my mom," she said without even looking at me. She started walking before I could even say anything. I followed her and sat next to her.

After a while, a red car stopped in front of us. I figured it was Lyra's mom. The window rolled down and a beautiful lady waved at us. More like she waved at Lyra. Lyra noticed her mom after me and ran slowly to her.
