It was happening again, that ringing in my ear. My heartbeat began to speed up before the tragic realisation of, that mightn't be him texting. I had been tricked once before, what's stopping it from happening again. There was a 99% chance it wasn't him but that 1% is what was keeping standing on two feet.
"No" Amelia said in a disbelieving yet hopeful tone
"Well speak of the damn devil I guess" joked Jade
Jade never really showed her emotions that much, whether it was happiness,anger,sadness or in this case relief,but I could tell she felt like the weight of the world had just been lifted off her shoulders. Even though Jade and Benji didn't get along very well, they both still shared a mutual understanding of each other. Deep down they loved one another, though you never would've guessed it by looking at them, they truly did.
"Hey!You stay right there!" Yelled the herd of police.
All I wanted to do was stop running. I was tired.I just wanted a break. But I couldn't, on the slimmest chance it was really Benji I couldn't just give up. Not now.
"Well what are you waiting for? Let's get the hell outta here"
I say in a reassuring tone
"That's the Dawn I know and love" said Amelia
I could've just flown away but that takes a lot of effort anyway nevermind having 4 people attached to me. Rosie got on Amelia's back and Toby offered Jade a ride on his back which Jade responded with a death stare so quickly after it was Rosie on Amelia's back and Toby on Jades back. I held onto Jades hand on my left and Amelia's on my right and ran like hell.
