"Emily you don't have to come with me, I've made the drive by myself before and I'll keep doing it" Jennifer said as she packed a bag to head to her parents house in PA. I laid on her bed watching her.

"I know but don't you think it's time for me to meet your parents? You met mine even though she was a bitch at first."

"I mean I do.. But, who am I introducing you as? A friend? If you haven't realized we technically aren't dating. Plus, I've never brought a girl home.. I mean they know I'm talking to a girl but yeah.. " I sat up at that looking at her. Fuck she's right!

"You're right.. I'm sorry. Maybe another time" we talked some more as she packed, she's leaving in a few days. It's her parents 20th wedding anniversary. And from what she told me EVERYONE is going to be there. I have to make her mine and I know exactly how.

It was 3am when Jennifer woke up to leave. We grabbed her bags and took them downstairs.

"Here, take my car" I said handing her the keys to my white Lexus.

"Emily my car is completely fine" I rolled my eyes.

"Jennifer we literally just got your car out of the shop, it's not ready for the road plus I'm not gonna be doing anything while you're gone. So humor me and take it. Also" I pull my wallet out and hand her my credit card. "For gas but if you want to use it you're more than welcome to" she took the keys and card from hesitantly at first. I smiled at her once she did.

We placed her bags in the car and she got in, "Please be safe, call me if you stop and once you get there"

"Okay, thank you seriously" I lean into the window to kiss her.

"Of course, I'll be waiting on you to get back" we gave one another a kiss before I stepped back so she could leave. I went back upstairs and busted into Dereks room.

"AYE WAKE UP!" I jumped on his bed. He jumped up looking around confused.

"Man what do you want?"

"I need help asking Jennifer to be my girlfriend"

"Dude wtf you waiting for? She should've been your girl"

"She is my girl but not my girlfriend, there's a difference there D. Plus, don't you need to be asking Pen out as well too?" He sat up looking at me.

"I'll roll the blunt"

"Are you sure this is what you want to do Emily? Just show up and ask her to be yours?" Derek asked as I loaded up the Uber with my bags. I didn't want to bring another car. That would be silly.

"Yeah and if it goes bad I'll just get a flight back home. But, I want her parents blessing and everything. It feels right to do it this way"

"Okay good luck" we gave each other a hug.

"You too. Let me know how things go with Pen"

"You got it" I climbed into the Uber and leaned my head back as we made our way towards the airstrip. I was flying private because I'm still lowkey famous.

I climbed on to the plane and got situated, I fingered the box in my pocket. It held a promise ring for Jennifer. I want to be with her forever.

I was sitting outside with my older cousin Charlie, when a black SUV pulled up. I sat there watching as the door opened. My eyes widen when I realized it was Emily. I got up running over to her.

"Uh, what are you doing?" I asked as she grabbed her carryon and luggage out of the truck. She tipped the driver before stepping away from the truck so they could pull off.

"I came to see you and meet your parents" I chuckled nervously.

"You were serious about meeting them weren't you?"

"Yes I was Jennifer.. I mean we've known each other for a few months and we basically live together. I mean the sex is good and I want this to last."

"Okay I understand that and the sex is amazing but-"

"Jenny?" I whipped around when I heard my moms voice. Here goes nothing.

"Hey mom, I was just, uh" I looked between Emily and my mom trying to figure out what to do. I chewed on my lip.

"Uh, hello I'm Emily Prentiss, a friend of Jennifer's" I watched as Emily shook hands with my mom. My mom had a confused look on her face.

"It's nice to meet you Emily, you're staying for dinner right?"

"Yes" "No" Emily and I responded together, we looked at each other and she shrugged her shoulders. I sighed and looked at my mom.

"Yes, she's staying for dinner"

"Excellent! Well, show her around and get her bags put away. Dinner is in an hour" with that my mom walked away. I turned back towards Emily.

"She seems sweet" I stared at her then rolled my eyes walking away from her. "Could've gone better" I heard her say as she followed me into the house and up to my bedroom. I closed and locked the door behind us.

"Emily.. You just can't show up unannounced like that"

"Well I kinda did" I threw my death stare at her and she shut up. "I'm sorry okay? I really wanted to meet your parents.. I mean I don't know.. I thought we were getting to that point.." I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.

"It's okay.. They were gonna find out sooner or later.. But I really wanted us to be a couple before I started bringing you around. And no I'm not ashamed of you but after everything with Will I want to be cautious about things." She stood up and walked over to me. She pulled me into her arms and I wrapped my arms around her neck. We started swaying.

"I know and I'm the same way. After things with Grace, I'm very cautious with my heart and my life. But, I'll make an honest woman out of you one day" she winks at me and I smile leaning up to press a kiss against her lips.

"We better get downstairs before my family comes looking for us"

"I can't wait to meet them"

"Ha, okay. You say that now"
