Running away and leaving everything behind, including my friends, wasn't something I'd ever envisioned. But that's where I am right now, at the Bahamas with John fucking B.
"Y/N listen to me!" John B shouts as he tries catching up with me.
"No! I'm done listening, every time I listen to you it's another fucking lie!" I sigh loudly, "I'm done. You want to put yourself in danger? Go ahead because I am fucking done, with you, with the gold, and with sleeping on this fucking roof." I begin to pack my things, which aren't much just a towel and some food I'd managed to steal without getting caught.
"Y/N I know I swore to you that I wouldn't go to Sarah's father's mansion to look for the gold but-"
"No, no 'but' John B, I wouldn't even be this mad if you hadn't lied to me countless times before." I can feel my face heating up and my eyes watering from the anger and my nails beginning to leave marks on my palms. "You said we were on this together but it sure as hell looks like you're here alone."
"Y/N please...just give me one more chance." He says in a low whisper.
"That's what you said last time." He steps closer to me and takes my face in his frigid hands. My knees are growing weak and so is this cold front I'm putting up.
"Don't do that." I hesitated as I pulled away. He frowns. "I'm tired John B. Every time we're apart I fear for your life." I shake my head trying to shake off the feeling of crying but it seems like that feeling overtook John B already. A tear slips from his left eye and he softly embraces me in a hug.
"I love you Y/N, I thought I was protecting you but I was only hurting you," my lip quivers a little and I immediately wrap my arms around his torso. "I promise you, from now on no more lies okay?" I nod and dig my face in the crook of his neck. There's no telling if this is another one of his lies.
