Here We Go Again

Chapter 1: A Second Alter

I'm sitting in a hospital room with my dad waiting for Dr. Gardner to come in and talk to us about whether or not there's any treatments I can take to help. 

I'm sitting on the gurney with my feet on the floor and I'm bouncing my leg as a result of my anxiety and adhd going crazy with waiting as I hear "To be honest Stiles you're not the only one who's freaking out and scared. 

I'm scared too as we have no clue what kind of effect the treatments will have on you or me so let's take extreme caution and care to minimize any negative reactions." 

I smile a bit and reply in my head "Okay, yeah sounds like a plan. If we feel wrong or off in anyway then we'll just stop taking it and ask for a different prescription." 

Void responds "Yeah good plan." I smile again and say "Hey give yourself credit, it was a team effort. Remember we're in this together, alright?" 

I feel like I'm glowing as I realize it's Void who's glowing as he speaks again "I remember, and it means the world to me Stiles. It means more than you can know that you have accepted me. Thank you and yes together." 

I nod as I look up to see Dr. Gardner enter the room as he walks over to me and asks, "So Stiles, Sheriff what brings you in today?" 

I rub my neck nervous as I say "Uhm we were wondering if there's any treatment plan for DID and if it's possible for me to try them." 

He smiles at me before saying "Technically there's no medications to help treat dissociative disorders but I can refer you to a therapist to start something called talk therapy that can help manage your symptoms." 

I look at my dad and back to Dr. Gardner asking him "Can my dad and I talk about it first?" He nods leaving the room as I turn to my dad "I don't really want to talk to a therapist dad, I haven't even told Scott who I've known forever and if I need to ask for things to help manage this I can always go to Melissa." 

He smiles at me before saying "Alright that's fine, but I'll allow it if you talk with Melissa." I smile getting up and tell him "Yeah got it, will do. Let go." We open the door leaving the hospital and get into my dad's police cruiser as he drives me to school.

We pull in and I hop out as he asks "You going to be okay going home? I have to work late and then I have to go to rehab so you going to alright?" 

I smile and nod replying "Yeah dad I'll ask Lydia, or I'll just walk. But I'll be fine, see you when I see you pops love you." 

I wave back to him as he says driving off to work "Love you Stiles take care." I smile walking into the school and going to my locker as I look for Lydia. 

I also still need to make a plan for telling Scott and the others. I'm walking as my vision starts to blur and I rub my eyes blinking trying to get them to focus. 

It just seems to make it worse as I officially can't see anything, and my brain starts going fuzzy as I hear "You know you really need to lighten up and have fun. How about I help you out?" I'm confused as I start to black out and soon everything goes dark.

That's better now let's get out of here. I turn to leave the school to go home so I can get my glasses as I'm blind as a bat without them. 

I walk down the stairs when someone taps my shoulder and I look to see a person of the female gender as they talk to me but call me something else "Stiles are you okay?" 

I ignore that and ask "Do you drive?" She gives a weird look before answering "Umm you know I do. Did you hit your head or something?" 

I once again ignore the majority and ask, "Did you drive here today?" She nods yes and I grab her arm asking "Which ones yours?" 

She takes her keys and presses a button and I tell her "Drive me home I forgot something." She says "Oh okay, but are you okay?" I tell her "Yeah thanks." 

I get in the passenger seat as she drives to the house and once, we get there I go around as she rolls down the window. 

She then speaks before I can talk "Are you sure you're okay to drive?" I smile leaning on the car as I say, "Nice to know you care, cupcake." 

I start walking into the house and I look around going up the stairs to my room. I go in looking for my glasses and I find them. 

I go to put them on when I see they're too small and I realize I must have outgrown them. I grab my phone looking for my doctor and I find the one I'm looking for clicking on it. 

I talk "Hey Dr. Connors, it's Stuart, it's seeming it's been a while since my last eye exam so can I come by. Alright yeah, I'll be there after I find someone to drive me and then I'll be there. See you soon. Thanks again." 

I end the call and I walk over to the window to see that Lydia is still is in the driveway, so I hurry to make sure I catch her before she leaves. 

I go over getting into the car as I ask, "Can you take me to a doctor's appointment right now?" She gives a look before saying, "I guess I have good enough grades anyway."

I give her a look as I look out the window pretending, I didn't hear that as she starts driving and asks, "I'll need directions" 

I enter it into her car GPS, and it speaks telling her where to go as she asks me "Stiles how come you asked me to teach you how to use my GPS if you already knew?" 

I just shrug and look back out the window and ask, "Can we listen to music?" She doesn't say anything, but the music turns on and I'm immediately revolted. 

I click on it searching for something more fun and I hit play on the song Take It Off and say "There. That's more like it." 

I turn it up as Lydia give me a good long look before turning back to look at the road not saying anything and besides, I have the music so loud I probably wouldn't even hear her.
