part 2It was as if my feet were nailed to the cement as I remained staring at the explosion in the distance. I catch my breath while out of the corner of my eye, the policeman was supporting his companion whom I kicked as everyone squealed. I can't believe I'm seeing this. My hometown, I just watch it burn and break down.
"H-hey kid!" I returned to my sense when he called me as I turned to them. "Don't just stand there! T-tulungan mo ako dito!"
My knees trembled trying to stand up as a series of strong impacts fell into the distance causing me to duck and cover my ears. The strands of my hair went to the dance in the air as I narrowed my eyes when I felt even dust attacking me. "B-bilisan mo!" he offered his hand to me as I reached for it and he helped me to my feet. We supported him and ran away from the meteors.
People left us behind as we tried to catch up. Suddenly a heavy hissed was behind us just a few kilometers away. I didn't dare look back until I seemed deaf to the loud crash and thick smoke engulfed us. A large rock almost hit us as my knees lost its balance as it hit the cement but I managed to hold on to the arm of the policeman who was between us. It was as if I was on my knees in salt causing me to huffed. Not far in front of us, the rock stood with blood scattered from beneath it. The woman cried incessantly for her estranged husband who I think was in her middle sixties.
"Bata! H-hoy bata!" the policeman yelp they pulled my arm to stand me. "Hindi oras na ito para tumanganga!"
"O-officer!" the woman vociferate as she approached us. "T-tulungan n'yo kami ng asawa ko.. n-naroon siya," she pointed at the boulder as I just stared at it. "Don't just stare at us. D-do something!"
Officer approached her as I remained supporting the one I kicked, he was cursing under his breath in pain. "M-ma'am, kinailangan na anting umalis-"
"Ayoko! Gusto ko kasama asawa ko! K-kung maiiwan siya maiwan rin ako!"
"Ma'am-" his words were cut short when suddenly there was a loud hissed again and light passed through the sky and it crashed far behind me. We bowed our heads as the floor rumbled. The tranquil city was swaddled in a veil of poltergeist-white mist. It was eerily silent in the place as the deathly vapour didn't lick the cold floor as the wind was known to do. He suddenly lifted the woman like a sack as she started to outcry and struggled. "Mauna na kayo! Bilis!"
Lakad-takbo kaming nauna as she gone wild as she shout above her lungs. Dust was everywhere, blowing on the wind, leaving its scent in my nostrils causing my nose and throat to inevitably itch. As we run down the road, everything became silent except in the distance, I could hear them exploding. We stopped walking when we saw soldiers in the distance with many vehicles while the rest of the people were gathering in the field. My eye caught Stacey, who seemed to be looking for me until our eyes met.It was as if my face lit up as my eyes got wet.
"S-Stacey,"
I was stunned when an intruder hissed and a light passed on the left and it crashed into many houses at the same time I averted my eyes as the light engulfed us. I waited to burn myself out and hear an explosion but a few seconds ago nothing happened. I felt no pain but there seemed to be a stone buried in my body causing me to have difficulty moving. I tried to open my eyes and I was welcomed by light and blurred vision before I could recognize the dark chocolate wooden ceiling in front of me while the gold chandelier was placed in the middle. Am I at home?
"Zoe," someone call me out as my arm support me to sit up until I was stunned when I saw my bare skin with a part of it becoming transparent.
"I'm proud of you, you did it young lady," someone praised as I looked up at him. It's professor Migz, while Eagan was by my side. I look around in his office as my eye caught the king sitting in the chair near a bed holding someone's hand.
