That very day, Trinity went for her interview and crushed it. She got the job to be the company supervisor in a different state. It is a company with many branches across continents. She decides to go to Mariana's house.
Trinity: I'll really miss you MJ [hugs her]
Mariana: I'm really happy for you. You deserve it
Trinity: I couldn't have done it without you. Whatever it is your dream is, I really hope you make it. Who I'm I kidding? You got this, I know you do.
Mariana: [nods]
She finally finished her psychology and Law programs. She completed her Law degree first and then her PHD in psychology a year after. Immediately after she graduated her Law program, she started her course in Criminal Justice and was completing her psychology. She even got promoted to be building supervisor above her previous boss. She then did her International Studies and graduated at the age of thirty-three years old. While working and schooling all these years, every six months she got a leave which she used for her personal training in combat. While working she would also be very observant of every worker and noticed that the vice president was hated by most people because he was a really strict man moreover, he always wore black coats. So, she aimed to work close to him and applied to work as he's secretary besides he already had issues with he's current one. After he fired her, she applied. They were sited across each other in an office. As usual, he is wearing a black coat.
VP: Miss Marian Johnson [looks at her resume] eres todo el trabajo.
Mariana: si, gracias señor
VP: I see you took an interest in linguistics, eleven languages; Somali, Arabic, Farsi, Kurdish, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian and of course Spanish. Your resume is quite the parade Miss Johnson, your family must be proud to have such a hard working child.
Mariana: [making herself look all humble as always in her interviews and just smiles]
VP: why should I give you this job?
Mariana: I believe I can be a change in handling matters, I know I can help......
VP: no, no everyone can give a really good speech to why they'd want a job. I mean honestly with a resume like this, you can even take my job. You realize because of that I'll have to say no. Though I'm willing to overlook that, now why do you want this job Miss Johnson?
Mariana: being around my parents, you know my dad is a former army captain working alongside he's superior Mr Volcano may he's soul rest in peace. Mr Volcano was like a father to me too and he's daughter was my best friend and they're all gone. I just want to play my part to ensure they didn't die for nothing.
VP: hmmmm interesting. Now that you've mentioned it, funny how your names.........
Mariana: oh, Marian and Mariana [laughs] I get that a lot. Mr Volcano and my father were best friends sir. They decided to name us like we're real sisters.
VP: well, I'm convinced.......
Mariana: [smiles]
VP: but [she makes a straight face], with this kind of resume the president should never see it. Otherwise you will take my job away and I'll make your life so miserable [he gets really serious]. You don't know what I'm capable of.
Mariana: ..........
VP: on that note Miss Johnson, we make a deal; I give you this job and I have your resume changed to just befit this very position. If not I'm afraid I can't hire you. Do we have a deal?
Mariana: deal.
VP: great. [Stands] so this room is your office, mine is the next room [he turns to leave]
Mariana: sir, [still sited and turns her neck to face him while he stops and turns] did you also make a similar deal with the previous secretary? Did she not keep the deal then you fired her?
VP: no, I fired her because she was lousy and annoying. Her resume fitted this position best.
Mariana: [nods]
VP: oh and Marian, that's the last time you get into my business and get too comfortable with me. Stay out of my business if you want to stay alive, this is a dangerous country. Know your boundaries and who to mess with, are we clear?
Mariana: yes, sir. [He leaves]
Now that she finished all her goals in terms of education, she spent most of her free time training, spying on the vice president and visiting Dave.
