No matter how strong a person seems to be, they always have a weak point. Most of the times, all that's needed is just a hug. A simple act of kindness.
My favorite hugs are those given for comfort. The kind where you just wrap your arms around the other person and don't let go until tears stop rolling yours or the other person's face. Even if that's not exactly the case right now, Eren's eyes still seemed to be watery. He didn't allow himself to cry, however.
The brunette boy closed his eyes and rested his head on my thigh, seemingly falling asleep. His arms were still wrapped around my waist, not loosening even slightly, meanwhile I gently caressed his face.
I didn't happen to be the one seeking comfort at first, but even so, it still got all the anxiety, the sadness and the negativity out of me.
As for Eren, he looked completely peaceful, even having a small smile painted across his face. All the pain which was clearly visible a few moments ago had almost completely vanished.
When someone who is either feared or respected by nearly every one of his peers shows you their weak side, it's a major sign of trust towards you.
This side of Eren really wronged my initial perspective of who he was, meaning the one I had when I first met him, but I'm happy he trusts me.
Even if it hasnt been that long, our similar pasts and interests, the fact that we've spent most of our days hanging out together, and the way he showed his trust towards me really sparked a connection between us. He is precious to say the least.
I didn't think he would actually fall asleep but a cute ass snore coming from him suggested otherwise.
I smiled at the realization of what is actually happening. The badass, hot guy that I've unconsciously been crushing on is sleeping on my thigh while still embracing me.
I put the strands of hair that were falling on his face behind his ear so I could take a better look at his face. So relaxed and peaceful...
My daydreaming was abruptly cut off by the sound of the front door opening, followed by footsteps and giggles.
I turned turned my head to my side, trying not to make any aggressive movements that could wake up the boy.
Ymir and Historia walked inside holding hands, closed the door behind them and took one look at me before their eyes went completely wide.
I'm pretty sure I know what they were thinking, but saying it before they do is kinda sus so I just waited.
"Are you two a thing?" Historia asked in a surprised voice.
It may have been a bit too loud, since it woke up the brunette, who took an unusually little amount of time to completely come to his senses, considering he was asleep.
"Oh, hi." He waved the girls who only returned winks and smirks his way. He completely brushed them off and turned shis attention to me. "I'm gonna go take a shower. I'm still a bit wet from the rain." He spoke.
"Okay." I smiled as brightly as I could. He locked eyes with me and returned the favor, before heading upstairs.
The moment he was out of our sight, Historia enthusiastically ran to my side, staring into my eyes. Ymir followed behind her a bit less excited, but again you can't really match Historia's energy.
"I don't think I ever got an answer. Are you two a thing?" She asked me again
I looked away from her eyes, since it felt kind of embarrassing to have them walk in on us during that moment.
"N-No, it's just... He was feeling really low a few minutes ago and I just gave him some comfort..." I managed to let out. The pressure was quite hard to deal with if I'm honest.
"Wait what did he tell you exactly?" Ymir asked.
"Pretty much everything" I still didn't find the courage to look them in the eyes.
The two of them looked at each other, then back at me. "Did he actually? Oh my god!" Historia happily screamed. "It's been ages since he last talked to anybody who isn't the 7 of us. And he doesn't even talk to us about any of it nowadays." She added.
"I'm happy he opened up to you, but what are your intentions with him?" Ymir looked more serious now.
"Huh?" I felt the temperature in my cheeks rising.
"Do you have feelings for him?" She bluntly spoke.
"I think I like him, but I haven't been through this thing before." From what Eren said the other day, Ymir was kinda like a sister to him. I didn't see any reason why I should lie to her or keep it to myself. She was also a friend after all, even if I hadn't got to know her as well as some of the others.
"You've never been in a relationship before?" Historia asked.
"No..."
"That's weird. You're definitely hot so, how come?" She continued.
"I'm not that much into dating. This is the first time I've ever even liked someone."
"Let me tell you some," Ymir grabbed my attention. "He'd definitely like you. Your hot and kindhearted, which is pretty much all he cares about when it comes to preference, but knowing him, I think he's prolly scared. He mentioned something, a few weeks ago, about trying to open up to a new person after being cold towards everyone but us for 2 years, but he also said it was stressful. You'll probably understand that it's hard for him, so at this point it's just a piece of advice. Just take it slow."
