《Mia's pov》

A few days later-

I was at the Cafe studying when Laila came up to me.

"Hey mia" Laila said.

"Hey whats up Laila" I said

"What are you doing here?" Laila said.

"Studying why is that a problem?" I said laughing a bit.

"No I mean why are you here when Olivia is at Crenshaw volunteering at the Alvin's Block party." Laila said

"I was gonna go later, i just reallyneed to put some studying time in before the final exams " I said.

"No no no get up put the books, computer down and let's go have fun!" Laila said.

"Laila I appreciate you trying to do but I really have to study if I don't- " I said.

"Mia you're a straight A student you'll do great. Come on let's have some fun for once!" Laila said with her hand out.

"Laila I really can't" I said.

"Pleaseeeeee" Laila said

" alright, alright I'll go" I said packing my things.

"You're gonna have so much fun!" Laila said..

Once we got to Alvin's Block party. I saw liv talking to a boy, she looked kinda nervous for once. Coop got on to the mic and started dropping some sick beats and started rapping. I was standing next to Spencer and listening to coop was amazing.

Out of no where a gun was shot 3 times. Spencer grabbed me and put me down with him.

Coop ran passed us.

"Coop!" Spencer said.

Coop ignored him and continued running.

"You alright?" Spencer said.

"Yeah, yeah go follow coop" I said.

"You sure?" Spencer said.

"Yes go Spence" I said.

Spencer then rans after coop.
I stayed with Laila for a bit. But I decided to go home and it was getting late.

I was at my house studying and it was around 1am when I got a text from liv.

Dude I just saw Laila kiss Spencer at the Cafe.

Me-
Wait what. Isn't she still with asher? Or did they break up?

There still together I don't know what to do.

Me-
I don't know what to tell you liv. I wouldn't say tell asher or don't cause I'm not the one saying it.

I still want to study Jordan just in case.

Hey, yeah I'm fine just got scared.

even if you were there you wouldn't have Been able to do anything.
