"Where is Cheongsan?" The girl immediately asked. However none of them could answer the question. "Why is nobody talking?"
"Sora, I'm sorry" Onjo muttered.
"What are you talking about?" She was getting desperate at the silence surrounding the room. "What happened to him?"
"I'm sorry... for coming back alone" And Suhyeok finally gathered his thoughts to form a decent apology.
"Fuck" was the only thing the teenager manage to add.
*Moments before Sora woke up*
Cheongsan was the first one to wake up. He instantly saw the girl leaning on his shoulder and a tiny smile came to his lips. He was proud of Sora. Cheongsan knew it wasn't easy for her. She just lost her best friend and the only teacher she ever relied on. Now Sora finally was getting the rest she deserved.
Then he looked around, while seeing everyone noisily sleeping, he came to realization that this wasn't a dream. They were actually living in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. And the worse part, they were stuck at school. He needed a plan. He knew the chances of staying alive were minimum. They didn't have food or water. They were losing hope that someone would rescue them. Somehow they managed to survive one night. But at what cost, he literally just lost his best friend.
Cheongsan finally snapped of his daydreaming, and stood up, being extremely careful to lean Sora's head in another surface so she could get more rest. He walked towards the window and the same scenery greeted his eyes. Discouragement isn't a great thought to start off with your morning.
Slowly one by one the students woke up. Onjo got closer to where Cheongsan was. She stood by his side and took a look outside. She noticed that everything was the same as yesterday. Nothing changed.
"No one came" Cheongsan whispered in disbelief. They could hear sounds coming from the helicopters, but they were far away to even notice the teenagers stuck at Hyosan High School.
The students surrounded the desk in the middle of the room. All of them (except from Sora, since Cheongsan suggested to let her sleep for a while) were brainstorming ideas to get the helicopter's attention.
"We can put up a signal for help" Onjo said. "My dad taught me signal that's used internationally. I think it was something with red and blue arranged together to create some sort of a pattern" however she couldn't get a hold of the memory. So she eventually let it go.
"We can't last long anyway. Three minutes of no oxygen, three days of no water, three weeks of no food. This is how long a person can survive"
