Chapter 1

The number One rule in m family.

Honor your parents.

They are the supreme being who gave you life.

Who sweated and sacrificed so much to put a roof over your head, food on your plate.

A lot of food.

The least you could do is do everything they ask.

Some say "be careful honoring your parents sounds great  but if you take it to far; well, you might forget to honor yourself."

"Luckily I'm not the sibling that has that problem." I said, "I'm Daiyu Wu Lee and I have been seventeen for quit some time now. But ever since my sister Mielin Lee turned thirteen thing have become a lot more interesting." Myself and Mie are walking down the street to catch the next bus for us to go to school. The middle and high school are right across from each other. Everyday we go to and from school together. 'I mean it be cool if I had a car to go with my license mom and dad.'

"As you can tell I've been making my own moves. 24/7, 365." Mielin said. "I wear what I want. Say what I want. And will not hesitate to do a spontaneous cartwheel if I feel so moved." MieMie said. As she failed terribly to do a cartwheel. Which resulted in everyone around to look at her and I. 'Dang MieMie.' I laughed at her antics. She pouted towards me as she frantically picked up her things. After that we boarded the bus.

"Not to brag but being 13 means I'm officially a grown-up." MieMie said, showing the bus driver her bus pass.

"Uh good job?"

"Sure you are MieMie." I remarked. We walked back and took our seat. MieMie was in the middle of me and some other guys. Me and her both grabbed our homework to finish.

"It's all about that hustle, am I right." MieMie said to the guy next to her.

"MieMie stop bothering him, Please." I asked.

"Sorry." MieMie replied a little embarrassed.

We finally made it to school. Seeing some of mine and MieMie's peers in the same area. We quickly enetered.

"Go find ya girl-friends MieMie." I smiled to her as I walked off.

"Besties assemble!" I heard MieMie from down the hall. I giggled. Then I see my best friend. Brigette Dubois, moved here from Quebec when we were kids. She is rocking her beautiful cropped blue top with a white under shirt, that shows off her belly button piercing , with matching boot cut denim jeans. And of course with her beautiful natural curly hair, which she has styled in a afro.  

"Sup Brigette my baguette!" I ran over to her. She shuts her locker upon hearing me.

"Sup mon amie!" She smiled toward me.

"You ready to get spanked at practice today!" I laughed.

"Pfft! You wish!" She said shoving me a bit, We laughed together. Talking about what we're doing, our plans, all that junk. Until the bell rang.

"Oh dang, I'll see you in third." I said and walked toward my math class. I sat in my seat and took out my work; then someone sat in their desk next to me.

"Oh, Hey Devon." I said to the boy next to me.

"Hey Daiyu." He smiled toward me. Just then class began.

Timeskip... 

The bell has rung. Meaning my school day was over. Walking toward the front of the school to leave.

"See you guys in a minute, I wanna make sure my sister gets home okay!" I yelled to my team.

"No problem girl!"

"We got you!"

"Can you bring snakes on your way back!"

"Yeah no problem!" I answered.

I finally caught up with MieMie and her friends.

"Hello you little Fresh Princes." I said, "How ya doing?"

"I think Mie is talking to herself again?" Abby remarked.

"...Who cares what stupid evil Tyler thinks." Mie was saying to herself again." This is going to be my year."

"Mie. Mie. MIE!" Miriam said trying to get the girls attention. Until grabbing her by her arm to drag her to the Daisey Mart window to look in. 'What are they doing, I mean I had to go there any way...'

"What are you doing?" I questioned them as they looked into the stored. Might add not so subtly looking into the store.

"Mm-hm Devon." Was all Miriam said. I alost laughed. They were looking at him as if he were they last dude on Earth.

"My mom cuts his hair at the salon. It's very soft." Abby said aggressively.

"Whoa. Can I have some?" Priya asked.

"Yeah Abby hook a sister up." Miriam answered.

"Geez you guys, never thought you would have your eyes on Devon." I laughed out.

"You know him, Daiyu!" Miriam excitedly asked. I nod my head yes.

"Ew, he looks like a hobo." Mie said getting off of their little tower. "May I remind you what real mean look like." Here we go again. MieMie pulls out the the same magizine.

"Okay, I'm going in. Wait for me MieMIe." I said as she started her rant about being a 4-townie. I walk around the store a bit grabbing some snakes I know the team will like. Some gummy bears, spreas, and some low fat potato chips. I go up to Devon to ring my stuff up, he straightened up a bit.

"Hey Devon." I said as I put my stuff on the counter. "You didn't say you had a shift toady?"

"OH! Must have forgot to tell you." He responded a little quickly. "So... your volleyball tournament is no the 24, right?" He was putting the snakes into some bags.

"Yeah, why?" I aksed.

"Oh, I just wanted to know." His face got a little red and he scratched the back of his head. "Was gonna try to come..." There was a little mumble after what he said.

"Oh that cool, hope to see you there!" I said excitedly, I looked at my watch. "Oh crap gotta go." I went out of the store to see MieMie and her friends in a 4-town pose.

"Oh did MieMie pass the gauntlet?" I asked.

"Heck yeah! And she got this." Miriam said giving MieMie a 4town CD.

"I'll protect it with my life!" Mie said kissing the disc. I heard the bus and tuned out their conversation.

"MieMie come on! I wanna make sure you get home safe!" I shouted while getting on the bus.

"Okay, see ya guys later!" Mie said running up, "We can do karaoke another time!" We sat in the back of the bus. I looked at her as she waved to her friends.

"You're skipping on karaoke with your friends to clean, again, with mom?" I asked.

"Yeah why?" Mie questioned.

"Nothing , Was just wondering." I answered. After a few minutes we were  at Mie's stop.

"I'll see you at dinner MieMie." I told her. 

"Okay!" She answered. 

"Now you maybe wondering. Diayu, why do you take you sister all the way home? It seems like a waste of time. Well just because I'm a big sister doesn't mean I can be a good big sister. I've been looking out for MieMie since day one. And I want to keep it that way." I said.

Timeskip...

 "Heyo! I'm home from practice." I called out placing my gym bag and shoes by the door. I walk into the living room to see Mom and MieMie watching Jade Palace while making dumplings. While dad was in the kitchen cooking. I walk in the kitchen.

"Hey dad." Giving him a side hug.

"Hello Diayu." He smiled back to me. "Dinner will be ready soonI went to the sink to wash my hands off.
