"Young master-nim," Cale moved his gaze from the window to Beacrox. "Cecilia and I have fixed our wedding date."

Cale, unknowingly had a rare, gentle smile on his face. He looked eternal with the sunset in the background, his red hair fluttering in the wind. "Is that so? Take as much time off as you want." Cale had already started preparing his wedding gift for the vicious couple.

"Thank you, young master-nim. I will leave your invitation on the table." Beacrox did not miss the conflicted gaze or the sudden tenseness that Cale tried to hide. "Young master-nim must attend with the children." He knew Cale hated such social events.

"...I see," Cale turned to look at the sunset. Beacrox left the room with his mind filled with uncertainty. Was it his imagination or did the young master's voice shake? He decided to keep an eye on him just in case. For the first time, watching the younger master's back did not feel reassuring. Instead, it filled his chest with uneasiness.

Cale chose to eat his dinner in his room that night, enjoying the silence. Like every night, he waited until the children were asleep before closing his own eyes.

The monster shrieked causing his ears to bleed. Kim Rok Soo pushed the debris off himself, trying to get a better look at the monster. It was as if it had appeared out of thin air. There was too much dust.

Kim Rok Soo could see figures trying to fight it. He needed to analyze it's attack pattern and -

"Rok Soo?" Two familiar hands cupped his face. "I love you."

"Jae Hyun-" his words were cut off by a rough kiss.

"Live for me Rok Soo," he could do nothing but be pushed to the side. Min Jae Hyun pulled out his sword, joining the fight. Kim Rok Soo ignored his thumping heart, focusing his mind. He needed to. He whipped his tears, analyzing everything and pulling out every available information in his records.

"Jung Soo! Attack his left foot. Team leader help Jung Soo. Jae Hyun -" He couldn't finish his words. "JAE HYUN!"

The monster pulled his arm out of Jae Hyun's chest. Kim Rok Soo could not take his eyes off the blood flowing out of the man's chest. It was too much. Held back by a team member, Kim Rok Soo could only watch.

The monster's arm was headed in his direction. Jae Hyun saved him but was it worth living without him?

They had defeated the monster but the cost was too great. The place where Kim Rok Soo and Min Jae Hyun were going to take their vows, lay Jae Hyun's body. Kim Rok Soo could do nothing but embrace the cold body of his lover.

He had to live.

For both of them.

Cale woke up in cold sweat. It had been a long time since that record had played.

Kim Rok Soo's wedding day had turned into a funeral. His white suit was dyed red and his wedding venue became his lover's grave. Kim Rok Soo, no Cale hated weddings because it was during his own, he had lost his lover.

The children, averaging ten, pretended to be asleep as they watched Cale smile bitterly. They didn't know what was wrong with their guardian, only that it hurt seeing that expression on his normally emotionless face.

That night Cale did not return to bed, he chose to indulge himself in books.
