"Younger master-nim, we think it is best to postpone the wedding-"

Cale frowned. "Why would you do that?" Beacrox and Cecilia had been preparing meticulously for their wedding day. He knew the planning and work it took to hold one simple wedding. Their wedding was by no means a simple event. Why would they suddenly want to change that?

On sighed, patting his right foot with her paw. While Hong and Raon looked between Beacrox and Cale.

"How can Cecilia and I get married when you-"

"Of course, I will return for the wedding." It would be the first wedding the children averaging ten would attend. Cale had Raon and Eruhaben to teleport them back to the eastern continent. "You stay here too Choi Han." Cale patted Choi Han's shoulder before taking one more look in the mirror. The face truly did make the look. He did not see Beacrox or Choi Han's blank expressions crack, too busy admiring his handsome face.

He despised any event requiring him to socialize; however, this was a ball held in honor of the envoy that would be departing for the southern continent. Cale, being the center, had to attend. Alberu had also been quite insistent on him attending.

"Let's go."

The ride to the palace was short and quiet. Cale suspected it had to do with the recent turn of events. He didn't understand they were all worried for. Cale had two dragons with him. Had he not shared this with his family, they would have never allowed him to step a foot outside of their territory.

Cale was greeted by Tasha, followed by all his allies. The nobles were strategically waiting for him to be alone. It was not long before Alberu, the emperor, gave his speech. Cale, having 'helped' create the speech, observed the nobles that would be accompanying him instead. They were quite average to say the least.

Cale flinched when he made eye contact with one of them. The young man gave him a polite smile before focusing on Alberu again. Cale had a feeling he should avoid him for his slacker life.

-That puny noble is covered in divine power like the little saint.

Cale flinched again. 'Divine power? Was he a saint? No. He would not think about it. This had nothing to do with him. Though hadn't the God of Death been awfully silent these past few months. To be exact, ever since they made contact with the southern continent.'

"Young master-nim, it is our greatest honor to have you as our guest."

Cale bowed to the princess. He had not expected her to greet him while he was with his allies. No. It was surprising she had attended the ball. They were still negotiating the envoy so for the imperial crown princess to be here, it was a dangerous political move. It would certainly be viewed as a noble gesture of trust between the continents but politically would pressure them to show just as much trust. They would have to accept the absurd situation.

"The honor is all mine, your imperial highness," Cale smiled respectfully. While he was not one to care for rumors, he couldn't allow them to grow in the current situations. Ever since the ball, it was common to find people speculating their relationship. Cale wanted to laugh at the absurdity. How would they react if he came out as gay? It would certainly be amusing.

Cale happily enjoying the cookies on the couch in Alberu's office as he listened to his speech. He provided a few suggestions here and there. He didn't think Alberu needed his help but wanted to put him to work since he was just eating his freshly baked cookies. The children averaging ten were playing at the other side of the room. The emperor's office was far larger than the crown princes.
