Year 850: The Siege of Trost,
Following the discovery that Annie, Reiner and Bertolt are plotting to attack Wall Rose, you carry the burden of keeping their identities a secret, convincing yourself that it's for the greater good; seeing the opportunity to learn the truth about titans. Yet some part of you knew that it was also for the selfish reason of being unable to betray your closest friend.
Your greatest fear comes to pass following your graduation and the siege of Trost begins. How will you face this impossible adversity while being weighed down by the burden of guilt?
CLARIFICATIONS: In the canon timeline, there's a complex military system consisting of multiple commanders and other high ranking officers who control the three Regiments as well as different types of squads and ranks among soldiers. To keep things manageable, I'll be simplifying the structure of the Military a bit.
01. Each of the three Regiments: the Survey Corps, the Military Police and the Garrison has one Commander on top, Erwin Smith, Nile Dok and Dot Pyxis respectively. Above them is the Supreme Commander, Primer Dhalis Zacchary.
02. Each Regiment has multiple squads tasked with different objectives and Squad Captains to lead them. For instance, Levi's squad is in charge of special operations while Hange's squad is in charge of researching and gathering information on titans.
03. When there's a large number of squads to command, Section Commanders like Kitz Weilman are appointed to help divide up the responsibility and make the Commanders' job more manageable.
04. With that, the hierarchy is as follows: the King, the Council, the Supreme Commander, the three Regiment Commanders, Section Commanders, Squad Captains and finally Soldiers. Among them maybe some who are considered 'Elites' with special privileges, but in terms of rank, they're the same.
