"Truth or dare Lily?" Marelene Mc.kinnon asked with a smirk.
"Dare" Lily said not really paying much attention to the game. But that changed as soon as she saw the look on Marelene's face.
"Can I change my option? Lily asked
"Too late Lilykins" Marelene said rubbing her palms against each other.
Lily groaned.
"I dare you to ask James Potter on a date"
"WHAT!? NO!" Lily said suddenly getting up.
"Come on Lils! A dare is a dare!"
"And an arrogant toe rag is an arrogant toe rag."
"You should have thought of that before you chose a dare"
Lily gave Marelene her best puppy face.
"Ugh! Fine! Tell James that if he wins his upcoming Quidditch match, then you'll go on a date with him"
“But that's just flirting! And I'm not going to flirt with James freaking potter”
“You're not getting anything better than that darling” Marelene said doing a dramatic hairflip.
“Hey guys, I'm sorry to disturb your game but I'm trying to sleep” Alice said groaning from her bed.
“Sorry Al! We'll keep it down” Lily said glaring at Marelene.
“Oh I can't wait for tommorow” Marelene muttered.

It was a typical monday morning for James potter. He had an important match against Slytherin and he was doing some warm ups with his team. Just then he saw a very flustered Lily Evans slowly make her way towards him.
“Alright there Evans? You look a bit constipated there” James said grinning.
Lily looked even more flustered at that if possible.
“Ok seriously, what is it?” James asked looking almost concerned.
“Umm..I was wondering....if...you would like to...go on a..date with me..if you win the match against Slytherin” Lily said, her face as red as a tomato.
The Griffindor team dropped their jaw, Sirius Black being dramatic as ever, fainted but none of them were as shocked as James Potter.
“Wh-What did..you just say?” James said running his hands through his hair not believing his ears.
“Ne-Nevermind if you didn't hear me” Lily said blushing.
“NO! I mean..no I heard you, but-”
“But are you sure you don't need to pay a quick visit to the mental hospital?” Sirius said cutting James off and slowly getting up from the floor.
“Padfoot! Don't mind him, he isn't feeling well today” James said glaring at Sirius.
“Anyways, I have to get to class, if you win then we'll see about Hogsmede trip this weekend” Lily said and dashed out of the stadium.
“What. Just. Happened?” James said gaping.
“I think Lily just lost her mind” Sirius said grinning at James.

“Lily? Lily? Are you there?” James potter asked Lily waving his hand front of her eyes.
“Yeah, I'm just thinking about the first time I asked you out on a date. Remember that day?” Lily asked chuckling at the memory.
“How could I forget? That was the first time I wanted to win so desperately in a match” James replied kissing his wife's hand.
“Well, did you know that it was actually a dare?” Lily asked grinning at his dumbstruck expression.
“What the fuck?”
“Yeah, Marls gave me that dare, now that I think about it, it was because of that dare that I even started to....accept your existence” Lily said recieving a look from James.
“Well remind me to thank Marelene then”
Just then a cry could be heard from the room above.
“Oh! Harry woke up!” Lily said immediately going up to check on him.
“Let me help you darling!” James said trailing behind her.
And for now everything was peaceful.
