(Narration Voice) On a distant planet, far from Earth, Remnant, or Unity, stands a hill. It is a hill that has stood for thousands of years, untouched by nature, undisturbed by wildlife.
Now it was home to several criminals and insurgences of the Taidai Liberation Front, a terror group hell-bent on enslaving the younger races. Entrenched, hundreds of loyal followers, and old but deadly weapons and munitions. It was a fortress upon itself, something many forces would struggle to take.
For the members of the United Nations 75th Ranger Regiment, it was simply the same shit, just on a different day.
(Narration ends)
Overlooking a massive hilltop was a single soldier. A ranger to be exact. And he was listening to some music.
(Play: Pass me the Ammo by Moonshine Bandits)
"This is Daredevil 4. Eyes on hostile tangos. 3 dozen light foot mobiles. One mech." a single soldier said over the comms.
"(Comms) Confirmed Daredevil 4. Laze the target and go wild. Give us an opening."
The soldier smirked before raising his M5 and activating a laser designator. "This is Daredevil four to Archer 1-2. Targets marked. Requesting artillery strike. 8 rounds, high explosives."
"(Comms) Copy that Daredevil 4. Targets marked.....rounds out."
Several thunderous booms could be heard and soon enough, the entrance to the pirate base was blown apart by 8 massive explosions.
"(Comms) Splash over."
"Splash out. Good effect on target. BDA is 100 over 100. I'll take from here." the soldier responded calmly.
"(Comms) Good luck Daredevil 4. Archer 1-2, out."
The soldiers looked towards a team of other rangers. "You ready boys and girls."
"Good to see that the Ross family still likes to enjoy the slums with the rest of us ground pounders. We're ready LT." one calls out.
Lieutenant Sydney Ross, Combat controller and Ranger for the 75th Ranger Regiment, smiles. "Same shit, different day. Now let's move people! RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!"
"ORRAAH!" the platoon of rangers began to charge the entrance, with fire in their hearts, ready for action.
Across the perimeter around the hill, dozens of flashbangs and mortars fall upon the enemy defenders. Hundreds of rangers, from dozens of different species, begin charging the pirate base. This includes LT Ross and his platoon.
"Williams and Poly! Get a rocket into that MG!"
"On it sir!" The Human and Aquran duo quickly points a rocket launcher at a machine gun and fires. The rocket flies through the air and slams into the pillbox, killing half a dozen pirates.
"Good work. Keep moving." Syd calls out as he kept firing at a few slavers in the open.
The platoon, mainly made up of Humans and Aqurans (elf-like), continue fighting their way into the base.
