Erin has been fussing over me since we arrived at the apartment. She sat me on the couch, took off my shoes and put on my favorite movie "The Sixth Man."

Erin comes out of the kitchen and sits a plate of food in front of me. My mouth waters at the fried catfish, yams, cabbage and yellow rice. I've been blessed to have women in my life who can cook
For a moment it feels like I'm having a flash into the future. Big house outside the city, Erin cooking dinner only because I can barely fix noodles. A tragedy really. A movie on for us to watch and maybe a rugrat or two running around.
I look up at the woman next to me and wonder if that's something she wants too
"I forgot your drink"
Before she can go back into the kitchen, I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her onto my lap
"Coby. I gotta get your drink"
I securely hold Erin in my arms and look into those red eyes. She looks up at me with interest
"I'm not handicap, baby. I can get it"
"But I just-"
"Are you eating too?"
"My plate is in the kitchen"
I scoot her off my lap to grab her plate and two drinks. The explosion didn't hurt me too bad. It was like a fire without the burn except my arm did get burned. Not bad enough to even be considered second degree though. That explosion was a warning of the warning meaning I have to come up with a plan.
I can't back off from Erin. I just told her I love her and that would be the stupidest thing I could do but I do have to find out answer as soon as possible. For both of our sakes
Sitting the plate and drinks down, I pull Erin into my side and we watch the movie.
