Are we still...? (Part 10)

*Your P.O.V*

I was holding onto Vi walking slowly as I heard Caitlyn behind us "Silco's goons aren't far behind, we have to keep moving" she said as I was trying to go as fast as I could with out over working Vi to much. We made it over to a big neon purple sign "what the hell is that?" She asked "The sign" Caitlyn said "well no shit Sherlock" I said to her as she looked pissed at me "here Vi go with her I'll be right back" I said to Vi ask I gave her to Caitlyn and I walked away.

I found Silco's goons and I pushed over a big boulder to slow them down some, then I made my way back to Vi and Caitlyn, I saw Caitlyn let go of Vi as they where by the edge. "Note to self don't leave the pilti with the love of your life" I whispered as I ran over to them cuz I already know the stupid this Vi was about to do. "VI NO!" I said as Vi jumped down right when I was about to grab her. I looked over the edge, she made the first jump but hit the second beam holding onto it for dear life she slowly tryed to let go to gently fall to the next beam but she missed and hit it as she hit the ground rolling all the way down. "Shit" I heard Caitlyn from under her breath "Yeah shit is right why on earth would you let her go down there on her own in her state!!" I said "you know what never mind" I said jumping down to the first beam to the next one and the one after that then I made it to the ground looking for Vi when I see her limp on the ground "Vi!" I said running over to her.

I picked her up and helped her to her feet "what is this place?" Caitlyn asked "its where the kind of people you topsiders don't wanna think about, wind up." Vi said softly one of the guys down here started to beg for something from Caitlyn but she pulled out her flashlight and aimed it at him making him crawl away back into the darkness, she shined it at more of them as they tried hiding from her beam of light. "Will you stop that!" I said to her making her turn of her light putting it away "it was never this big thought" Vi said looking around. She limped a little turning slightly "there" she said to me.

I instantly knew where we were, this was the place Vi and Powder lived a long time ago before I met them. I saw a open place to put her and I sat her down, when I did so she started to pick up her breathing. I noticed Caitlyn was walking around behind me. I looked at Vi and moved her hair from her face caressing her cheek where Sevika had burned her. Caitlyn started pulling out a napkin and walked towards Vi, she leaned in to clean up her burn but Vi pushed her hand away before it could touch her face. "I know you have your reservations about me, but this only works if we can trust each other." Caitlyn said standing up "It doesn't work" Vi said "It never has you topsiders alway find a way to screw us" I said looking at Caitlyn "I suppose topsiders are to blame for all your misfortunes" Caitlyn said handing me the napkin "No, not all of them" Vi said softly as I took the napkin from Caitlyn "we aren't monsters, you know. We're people, just like y'all" Caitlyn said "You don't know anything about us" I said back to her "I shouldn't have left you" Vi said "It's all right. Despite it all, I can tell...you have a good heart" Caitlyn said to Vi as I cleaned up her wound.

Caitlyn looked at me and Vi and walked away out the door pulling up her hood. "Oh boy" I said beginning to follow her "so..you do care" Vi said to me before I could get up all the way "yeah I do, not for her sake but for the weaker people that she thinks she can just tumble over." I said back to her walking out the door also pulling my hood up. When I made it out she had her gun pointed at a familiar looking man. "Hey! What are you doing?!" I said to her making her look at me "Or at least I was. I mean, I...I owed her old man my life" he said gesturing to me "probably more than that. I guess" he said. I looked at him now that his hood was down "Huck?" I asked as he looked down "she's bleeding. She needs a doctor." Caitlyn said as I scoffed "Not so simple to the come by around here" he said getting up "hey, Im sorry" he said scooting pasted her "oh, oh. But, ah, I do know someone else who might be able to help." Huck said as I realized she still had her gun up so I knocked it down following Huck "come with me" he said to me and Caitlyn.

When we got inside a small hut like thing, Huck rang the chimes and a really tall lady opened the sliding door "ailment" was the only thing that left her mouth "uh" Caitlyn said looking at me "uh...she's been stabbed" I said. The lady turned away closing the sliding door behind her "she makes potions. Helps people here with...with this" he said gesturing to his head pulling his hood down. "Shimmer. Why would you take something that does that to you?" Caitlyn asked. You wouldn't understand Caitlyn I honestly don't know why she is asking. "I just... wanted to feel what it was like...to be somebody. To make other people afraid" Huck said back "instead of-" but he was cut of by the lady reopening the sliding door putting the potion on the table in front of her. "Trade" she said I was looking around for something we could trade then I noticed Caitlyn was looking at the ladies face realizing she was blind, she then looked down at the potion, but as she leaned forward to grab it the lady pulls her hand back making Caitlyn empty her gun giving it to her. The lady took a small vile from her ear putting the purple liquid into the potion "shimmer" I whispered to myself as she popped the lid back on, I quickly grabbed the bottle and walked away as I heard Caitlyn talking with Huck.

As I was walking back to Vi I was looking at the vile and its light shad of purple. I opened the door walking in to Vi being somewhat unconscious "Vi" I said as she slightly opened her eyes, I opened her mouth pouring the purple liquid into her mouth then shutting it making sure she swallowed it. She then opened her eyes, screaming as she jolted forwards but luckily I caught her placing her back down she was still getting use to the shimmer running threw her body, so I came closer to her with my hands on either side of her face cupping her cheeks inches away from her face. I was looking into her eyes as she calmed down looking at my lips back up to my eyes. I pulled away but she grabbed me and kissed me, I kissed back of course. When she stopped and pulled away I could feel her breath on my face, I looked at her with sad but happy eyes "so are we still?" I asked her "well if you-" she was cut off by Caitlyn bursting in threw the door "we need to get you back on your feet" she said to us making me role my eyes at her.
