yangyang yawns, stretching his arms upwards. kun's warmth wasn't up against him anymore as it had been last night. it was a nice feeling, cuddling with his not-yet-but-almost boyfriend. but, as his tired mind wakes up, he realises today is their date.

oh gosh, they're finally going on their first date! he sits up on the couch and lets out a yawn, grabbing for the tv remote and turning it off. of course, they left the tv on. it surprises him more kun hadn't turned it off already. he sniffs the air, but there's no smell of food among it. confused, he turns around and rests his hands on the top of the couch, not seeing kun at all in the kitchen as he usually is in the morning.

"kun?" he calls out.

he turns around to the hallway and that's when at the perfect time, kun emerges from the bathroom, wearing a new set of clothes. he smiles at yangyang and happily goes over to the couch to sit next to him, greeting him with, "good morning."

"morning," yangyang says a little lazily with a smile. "i'm shocked you didn't make breakfast yet."

"i will, i was just..." he reaches out for yangyang's hand. "...getting dressed first before i cook. what do you want?"

"i don't know," yangyang replies, fitting his fingers between kun's own and there they go, holding hands again. "anything, i guess."

"or, maybe, we can eat out," kun suggests. "y'know, an early start to our date."

yangyang blushes and now he can't stop smiling. "let me get dressed then."

which, took a while, since he was desperately texting jian and mingli for help on his outfit. previously, he never cared enough to beg for advice whenever he went out with kun, even though yangyang still wanted to look good. the obvious reason being, well, they weren't going on dates then.

yangyang has taken out several different tops and bottoms he thinks go together well and sends pictures of all of them. then, he sends the message: which one?

it takes forever for jian and mingli to stop bickering over which one they thought was best. in the end, after watching message after message be sent, he gave up on trying to ask them. yangyang's eyes go from his phone to the clothes laid out on his bed, biting his lip. perhaps the jeans and t-shirt could work. simple but perfectly casual.

yangyang puts the other clothes back and slips his jeans on first, and as he finishes doing so, kun opens the door. yangyang, with his t-shirt in his hands, jumps and looks right at him, going red in the face. kun does the same and awkwardly grabs the doorknob again.

"sorry, i should've knocked," kun apologises. yangyang had brought up the shirt to cover his bare chest, but he realises it's not the biggest deal.

"oh, it's fine!" yangyang laughs, still very much flustered. he lowers his shirt away. "just about getting dressed."
