This story is gonna be a rewrite of hated Sonic characters for my project. What else?

Okay, I believe she's pretty underrated. Sooo, how about a rewrite? Okay, here we go:
What I know: Zooey is a character from the Sonic Boom universe, and Tails' love interest/girlfriend. And as far as I can tell from her abilities, she has a frying pan moment, which is something, I guess. Okay, now that's out of the way, rewrite:
Backstory: Zao-Kiko Prower (commonly known as Zooey) is a kitsune descendant who works as a gardener and grocery clerk. She is Miles Prower/Tails the Fox's older cousin and the daughter of Merlin Prower.
Zooey was born with her abilities from her mother's family ancestor Amenokitsune, the goddess of dance, and due to her powers of light, she was given the name Zao-Kiko, Zao meaning early morning, and Kiko meaning hope.
Her mother was supportive of her dream of being a gardener, but was also strict about her mastering her abilities, teaching her the family's culture and dances, and so on, making the young vixen confused on her mother's goals.
When the family heard about the accident that happened to her uncle and his family, she was horrified by learning that her baby cousin lost half his tail and tried to comfort her father after his brother Amadeus was presumably dead due to not finding the body.
Her aunt Rosemary, being a councilwoman was unable to be with her kid because she needed the money, so she made a court to decide on who would raise her child while she works for the necessities, Zooey was the first to volunteer to take care of him as her own, but due to her age, was unable to do so. She became sketchy when an older half-deer volunteered to take care of him, to "repay" for Rosemary helping her pay her debts. She volunteered to help the half-deer with raising the child, to which the council accepts.
Nowadays, she visits Miles on a weekly basis to help the half-deer Yudoku about raising a kid, as well as teaching her cousin on controlling his powers, knowing that he is Tails the Fox from the very beginning and never told anybody about it.
Personality: Zooey is a gentle and kindhearted plant lover who respects her family's culture and is a very hardworking planner who does her best to balance her social, school, family and work life.
Despite her age, she is shown to be an independent individual who does everything routinely, making her very conscious and consistent on the time of her work as a gardener and an older cousin.
Dreaming of being a gardener, Zooey studies and knows a lot about plants, and can generally be seen taking care of Cosmo when she was still in the process of blooming while Tails was fighting crime with the other Freedom Fighters.
She is also seen to get suspicious quite easily, getting sketchy when Yudoku volunteered to raise little Miles as her own, but when she got to know her, she began treating her like part of the family.
Zooey is constantly showing that she will always put family above everything else, including her dreams if she has to, as seen when she was the first to volunteer to take care of Miles, and when she skipped her work shift to help Cosmo on her final stage of regeneration.
Potential: I thought of what she'd do, and I've decided with this: Zooey would be taking care of Miles whenever he comes back injured from battles and often be his cover whenever his mother visited or called in order for her not to find out his little secret. She'll also visit on a daily basis to take care of Miles and help Yudoku with the house chores, as well as how to raise a fox hybrid. She'll even take care of Miles' plant (which that plant would eventually be revealed as Cosmo in her blooming process.) when he's battling Eggman with the other freedom fighters. I'm also thinking of moments where she'll use her magic to help Tails practice with his power, but I haven't thought of what else other than that yet.
Design: I haven't made concept of Zooey's outfit yet, but I'm making her design true to the original with some original traits and slight similarities to WOSS.
