Chapter 14: What have I done?

Todoroki's pov

Everything is escalating quickly. The fire is spreading through the forest. Explosions are getting louder and more noticeable.

The once happy smiling citizens are now running frantically. Kids are crying and screaming as their parents try to calm them.

"Sir you have to get inside!"

"No! I have to help Katsuki!"

I pushed past soldiers and ran into the forest. Those soldiers weren't moving to help him. They stood there stunned like they didn't know what was happening.

They aren't my priority though. Bakugou could be having trouble against who knows what. It could be a dragon, but only one person came to my mind.

"Shoto!" I looked around trying to find the voice

Suddenly I seen a red spiky head of hair. He had fear in his eyes and was crouching behind a bush.

"What are you doing Kirishima?"

"It's him!"

I looked at him confused but he pointed to what he was hiding from. Bakugou was fighting but my worst fear was there.

"You have to get out of here!" Kirishima yelled

Explosions were so loud and the roars of the fire was overwhelming. Heat was surrounding us. I couldn't hear what Kirishima was yelling after that.

Suddenly I was knocked to the ground. I looked to see who or what did it.

"Katsuki..."

"Damn it Shoto get out of here!"

"Don't leave-"

"Hey are you okay!?" He grabbed my face looking concerned

Honestly everything was getting blurry. Maybe it's the heat getting to me or the overwhelming feeling of terror.

"You have to fight." My voice got raspy

"Kirishima is dealing with your father right now. I have to get you out of here."

He looked around trying to find a safe spot nearby. But everywhere fire was rising. I could tell that he was mentally cursing himself.

"Katsuki..."

"Give me a moment."

"Go fight!" I tried to shove him off of me but he didn't budge

Suddenly he stood up and was carrying me bridal style. I didn't have any strength to try and pry myself away.

It's almost like I'm limp. I'm alive but can't really move. Bakugou started running trying to get back to everyone.

Every now and then I seen him glance at me. For some reason he's always worried himself too much.

I felt my back hit the ground and my head slam against a log. Katsuki was on the ground, I think I see some flames coming off his back.

Someone was getting closer to us. Every step they took the ground shook under me.

My vision was already dimming rapidly. Feeling the world shake under me made me much more terrified.

*Bakugou's pov*

I have to get him out of here. Todoroki layed limp on the ground next to me. My arms desperately trying to pull him close but failing.

I coughed as I felt a foot dig into my back. He purposely was digging his heel as hard as he could.

"You should just give up like your parents did!" Endeavor laughed

Anger boiled within me as those words fell from his mouth. I seen Kirishima running towards us from the distance.

I knew he wasn't going to be able to stop me. He was yelling as loud as he could but I couldn't hear him over all the noise.

I started turning extremely fast. It's not good when this happens for us dragons. Complications can occur and things get broken like bones.

My tail swung and hit him right in the face. But he grabbed it and burns started forming.

I roared and he fell to the ground scurrying away. My anger took over and I hurried after him.

"Katsuki!" Kirishima yelled

Everything became a blur, I knew what was happening but I can't control this. Endeavor laid lifeless on the ground after a while.

I turned back to normal looking around. The forest is still burning and the sky is now gray with smoke.

"Wake up!"

I heard someone screaming desperately. Instincts took over and I sprinted towards the noise.

Half n half laid against a log breathing slowly. Blood was pouring out of his head. Kirishima was trying to put pressure against the wound.

"You hurt him Katsuki!"

"I... I hurt Shoto."
