Chapter 15: Injured

Bakugou's pov

Keep busy, that's what everyone tells you to do when you have something on your mind. But how am I supposed to be fine.

I hurt Shoto and now he isn't waking up. He's been unconscious for 2 hours. The doctor said he should've been awake by now.

The guards have already checked the ground after Endeavors death. Since I'm the one who killed him I get his land.

I don't have plans on going there soon though. Until I know Todoroki is fine and is recovering I'm staying close by.

"You need to calm down! He'll end up being fine." Kirishima tried calming me down

"The doctor is acting like it's a serious injury though!"

"All doctors say everything is serious."

"This is different, he's supposed to be awake by now!"

"Everyone has different reactions to certain injuries."

I sighed and sat down on the floor. The doctor hasn't left the room in a while. Nobody else is allowed inside, probably because something is really bad.

Kirishima sits next me and opens his mouth but closes it again. There isn't anything to say for me to feel comfort. Todoroki has to wake up and he might not.

The doctor finally walks out of the room. She closes the door gently with a hint of sadness in her eyes.

"Is he okay?" I stood up quickly

"He's woken up, but there's a problem. Since he's in love with a dragon his lifespan is shorter. The only way for him to get fully better is for him to do the ritual."

"So how long does he have?"

"I would say a bit more than a week."

I nod and look at the ground. She walked away from the door and down the hallway.

Kirishima patted my back with a soft smile. I twisted the doorknob and slowly walked inside the room.

The sight in front of me made my breathe run cold. Shoto's eyes were half open, his lips cracked, and his skin as pale as snow.

*Todoroki's pov*

My head hurts so bad. Almost like my skull is going to burst open. I opened my eyes and seen a lady but she quickly walked out of the room.

I heard voices on the other side of the door. Panic set in as I remember what happened last. What if I was captured?

Everything ached and I felt limp. My limbs couldn't move besides a few inches.

I heard the doorknob twist and I held my breath like it was going to save me. My eyes stared waiting for the person to walk in.

"How do you feel?" Katsuki asked softly

"How do you think I feel?" I chuckled

He walked over and sat in the chair next to the bed. Those crimson eyes felt as if they're piercing my skin.

"What are you thinking about?"

"We'll have to do the ritual soon."

"What ritual?" I asked

"The one when a dragon and a human have to share blood."

"I've never heard of that."

"Of course you haven't, have you ever heard anything really?"

"I heard you in your room late at night-"

"What do I do late at night?"

"Snore really loudly."

Katsuki's face turned from confused to the one of him wanting to murder someone. I laughed and he rolled his eyes.
