Akaza POV:

When I awoke everything was silent. As i rubbed my eyes, i took a quick glance around the room. Everything was as it should, nothing unusual. Somehow i felt uncomfortable with my surroundings this day..even though my room had always been like that. I quickly headed to my door, opening it abruptly. Suddenly something hit my legs. I looked down and to my surprise saw Douma leaning onto me, still asleep. That's right..Douma had moved in with me. I kicked him out yesterday.., but he actually stayed here. Had he seriously wanted to stay near me that badly or..? I felt my cheeks heat up a little, weirdly adoring the thought of Douma caring for me. I quickly brushed these thoughts off and bowed down to Douma. Carrying him bridal style was a little difficult since he was much taller then me but I managed. I placed him on my bed, trying to make my regret about kicking him out disappear. Afraid he was actually awake or going to wake up, I hurried downstairs.

Douma POV:

To my surprise I wasn't on the floor anymore when I opened my eyes again. I had probably dozed off..did Akaza put me here? I blushed a little. What an nice start in my day!~ Too lazy to get up yet, I tried listening for movements in the house. I eventually gave up, realizing my hearing senses weren't that good-

When I arrived downstairs Akaza had already left. I didn't blame him though, we both had missions to accomplish. Which reminded me..I hadn't even started mine yet!

I pretty much spent the whole day trying to succeed at my mission earlier to earn more time to spent with Akaza. Unfortunately I didn't quite finish. I was almost done, but preferred to hurry back to Akaza's house, as to not miss out on time with him.

The nearby town was sleeping, no lights burning, Akaza's house included. The house was swallowed in darkness. I arrived late, afraid he had already gone to sleep I quickly got in and scrambled upstairs. But to my surprise Akaza was nowhere to be seen. I checked every room, but couldn't find him. I got a little worried for his safety but quickly banished the thought, Akaza wasn't weak. He knew how to defend himself. He was probably still on that mission, coming home a little later..and so I waited. With this thought spinning loops in my brain, erasing thoughts of disbelief, I sat down and waited. Waited and waited...I had lost track of time. My vision started to blurry. I couldn't make out the difference anymore, eyes closed or open..it didn't matter. Whichever was the case everything was pitch black. Somewhere around that time I had already drifted off to sleep. Dreaming of Akaza resting with me, holding him tight in my arms.

Timeskip: A few hours afterwards, the next moonrise (2nd day)

Douma POV:

Waking up I was lonely once again. Akaza must have stayed elsewhere..? A little upset I made my way to the Infinity castle, since I figured it would be a waste of time to wait for Akaza.

In my conversation with Daki, I was informed that everything was going rather smoothly and we would be able to meet up in two moons, we chatted a little more and said our goodbyes after a few minutes.

Arriving at Akaza's and my (temporary) home, no one was there. I already ate elsewhere, since Akaza didn't like me eating Women, so there was nothing to do. I waited for a while, but knew better this time and just went to sleep. Hoping to at least see him in my dreams.

Akaza POV:

Shoot! I was very late! There isn't much more time till sunrise and I still haven't arrived at home. Yesterday I took a day off Douma and concentrated on my Mission. My feelings for the weirdly charming Upper Rank have increased a lot in the past days and I didn't want to face him yet. It's not like I'm head over heels for Douma now or anything, I still hate his guts and pretty much everything about him, but..something has changed. It is hard denying it by now, I...care for him? Like more than a comrade and different from a friend.
