(Sorry for taking so long, I've just been working on myself and getting my mental health up, Also, random change, River is now Nonbinary)
River wagged their tail before they pulled away, snorting a bit in reply as they backed up, not wanting to get too attached to the kids just yet.
After a few moments River jumped a bit as a small Ankylosaurus came running through the brush making River instinctively growl and it, their tail swaying/flicking from side to side
"Wow, Wow, It's okay!" Sammy said, stepping in between the two.
"Okay so uhh..... Raptor thingy Bumpy. Bumpy, Raptor thingy," Sammy said with a smile
River snorted in slight amusment at the weird nick name before they got up and trotted off to go get something
- A few minutes later-....
River came trotting back with a stick before they started writing out their name in some dirt that he had tore the grass out of
"R.. I... V... E... R..?" Darius spelled out. "River? Your name is River!" The young teen exclaimed
This made River just burst out laughing in pure amusment making Darius blush out of embarrassment, the other teens joining River in a laugh
"H-Hey! Whats so funny!?" Darius asked as he felt his face heating up rapidly
"Oh nothing," Yaz replied with a smile
